I am Wendy Barnette Pope. In 1991, I married the man of my dreams, Scott. Together, with the Lord's help, we are raising two amazing children. My daughter, a horseback riding book worm and a son, a bulldozing, dirt loving bundle of energy makes our home a very lively place.
I am a woman who loves home, work, and ministry however many times falls short of finding a happy balance. The Lord blessed me through the early years of motherhood to be at home with my children and then later called me into ministry. My life, as chaotic as it might get sometimes, is fulfillment of scripture. The Lord has truly blessed me far more than I could have dreamed or imagined. There are days I feel the need to pinch myself, not because I have material wealth or success as defined by the world but because God, the Creator of heaven and earth allows me to be an active part of His story. It is the passion of my life to live Christ out loud in everything I say and do. He is so good and so faithful to His creation that I simply must proclaim His greatness.
I am honored by your visit. I trust as you visit this site you will be encouraged in the Lord. I love being part of the sisterhood of Christ. Being sisters in Christ means that even though we may not know each other personally, our hearts are joined together. We can share our joys and trials with each other with an understanding that the other knows exactly how the other feels. Isn't God cool to make us like this?
Please leave a comment to let me know of your visit, especially if I have met you at a conference I taught.
I pray you become passionately involved in God's story. He has a role perfect for you.

Wendy - You are a spiritual warrior and hero to me! Yeah for you! May God bless your blog as you seek to glorify Him and teach others. I consider myself to be very good at shopping. Having a fairly new home has increased my explanations for doing just that. With the Spirit's leading I do turn away and choose not to buy certain things. It has helped me tremendously to have you and others (Stacey) to learn to be more thoughtful and thrifty.
Speaking of thrify, yes, those Crystal Light packets are wonderful!! I have 4 boxes in the drawer now! A little over zealous but we really do like them alot!!
Much love and respect, Dawn
I just found your blog...so cute! Oh and I found out the other day that the word blogging comes from weblog. News to me! =)
Happy New Year!
Wendy,
I just found your bio on the P31 site and jumped over to check out your blog.
I have always struggled with finances and shopping. Last weekend things kinda reached the end of the road if you know what I mean.
I am getting ready to start a new journey and will be going through your blog with a fine tooth comb looking for help and hints.
If you would like to know what happened or what my two main points of labor will be, jump over and check out my blog.
Thanks!!

Hi Wendy,
Checking out your blog and looking forward to meeting you. I'll be in your group, and am so thankful for the caliber of leadership She Speaks is providing for us. You seem to be women who really know and love our dear Lord.
Praying that God's peace will be yours in these final days before the conference.
Letting you know that your recent EFT/Proverbs 31 posting has inspired me to start reading the chronological Bible with the group. I need this encouragement and group study that will keep me connected and moving forward on my spiritual journey. Even though I haven't received my Bible yet in the mail, I am reading the posts and finding the scriptures blogged about in my current "Message" Bible. I have always wanted to read the whole Bible, and this is an awesome way to be encouraged and keep the ball rolling! Thank you, Wendy.
Just checking this all out.....am Chairman of our WIC in a PCA church. Wondered where you are from and your background....I have heard of Popes in the SE where I grew up....I am now in Idaho, oldest daughter in seminary with husband in TX/MS.
