Friends, I am breaking a 17 day blog silence. The silence was not intentional just a symptom of a busy life. I have been refreshed in some areas, challenged in other areas as well as total blown away in others.
Allow me to share:
Our Lord is indescribable, uncontainable. He sees the depths of my heart and He loves me the same. (Chris Tomlin-Our choir sang this piece yesterday in church)
He disciplines the those He loves.
He is reigning over all His creation no matter what circumstance surround us.
I can have a faith that amazes God. (Mark 8:5-10)
He is the God who sees. He knows our future and makes adjustments to our present so that our lives can be compassed with His peace and we can confidently follow His plan.
I have been praying for His Kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven.
God is showing me ways that I don't respect my husband and opened communication in our marriage through a book we are reading in our small group. (Eph. 5:33)
He answers prayers and gives us the desires of our heart in surprising ways.
I think that is all for now.

I check your blog often and am glad to see a post. :) Know I that I pray for you when there has been no post for a bit, I know how busy and crazy life can get! I would love to know the title of the book you are reading with your husband. It sounds like something a lot of people could use. Thank you for your blog!

The title of the book is called: Love and Respect: The Love she desires and the Respect he desperately needs. The book is written by Emerson Eggerichs. The book is based on Ephesians 5:33. Our entire class is reading it. It is definitely a worthwhile read. Thanks for checking Lynn and for the prayers.

Love and Respect is a wonderful marriage ministry. We did a small group marriage study with it. Amazing!

Ok, I just read Mark 8:5-8. Wendy, I really had never thought about MY faith as I read this familiar passage. I've just thought of it from the perspective of the disciples and those who were there that day. Not myself. You've given me a new perspective to ponder and pray about as I go get in my run for today. (I'm FINALLY tapering before this marathon, and my mileage is really decreasing! I am so loving that!)
Thanks again for helping me to refocuse the scripture that I've simply enjoyed as a great Bible story. Now it's time to personalize it!!

Hi my busy friend! Glad to know you are okay and that God has been raining the evidence of His love down on you. The "Love and Respect" book by Emerson Eggerichs is great, but if you haven't read Mel's book, "What A Husband Needs from His Wife," yet, check it out as well. I had read it twice and thought it was so good that now I am utilizing it for our "Gather and Grow" group. I have learned something new each time that has really been a blessing upon my marriage and home. We even have a lady in class who has been married for 25years. She joined the class, in her words, "Just because she loves me and our "We Grow" women's ministry program so much that she didn't want to miss out on getting together with us, but that she felt that after 25 years of marriage she had a pretty good relationship with her husband already." Well, God in His wonderful way has ministered to this woman and touched her marriage in ways that she never thought were possible. At the last meeting she told the whole class several things that God has revealed to her and how much this study has meant to her. Just goes to show that when we let God in He does some awesome and unexpected things.
