Fast Trip to Palatka
When did December arrive? I can't believe how fast the days go by.

I hope everyone had an amazing weekend. I must tell you about my time in Palatka, FL. Palatka is small town USA with warmth and charm. It is a place I could easily settle down.

I was invited to speak at a Christmas Brunch hosted by First Baptist Church. It is challenging for me to connect personally when I come into a new place one day and leave the next but not not this time. My new friend Dana and I (I hope to post a picture soon.) hit it off as if we had been friends our whole lives. In fact, I almost called her Sharon because she reminds me so much of a friend I have known all my life. I met, ate, and prayed with some wonderful believers. I love going to new places and seeing that others (besides those around me) love Jesus.

My message was from Isaiah 9:6. God challenged us to connect the celebration of the manger with the prophecy of Isaiah. He wants us to experience Him as our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace everyday of our lives.

In the next week, I will be posting the thoughts the Lord gave me about these descriptions of our Lord. It was really fun to study.

Wordly Wise update:
To date we have sold well over 1000 Bibles. I am in the process of putting a Wordly Wise link in the sidebar of my blog. It will be important for everyone who will be reading with us next year to read. So keep checking back. I hope it will be up by Friday.

P.S.
Please pray for our speaker team. It seems the enemy is prowling around and seeking to devour. I can't be specific right now but we covet your prayers.

Wendy, that's awesome that your trip to Florida felt a little like "home". :)

Will be praying for each of the speaking team. Thanks for sharing that request.

Will be looking for Wordly Wise! (It's sitting on my dining room table just screaming to get started!

I'm so glad you had a great time in Florida. Awesome to feel at home like that. That's great about the Bibles! I will definitely be praying for the speaker team - I can imagine the enemy is on the rampage wih the good work your ministry does. He seems to leave only the complacent and stagnant alone!

Hello,
This is the first time I've ever left a comment anywhere!!! But I wanted to let you know that I ordered my Bible when you had sold 700 just a few weeks ago, so Hurray at the 1000 mark!! I too am so very looking to the new year and this wonderful opportunity. I do not belong and have never belonged to a Bible study group so this is very exciting for me.
Thanks for giving us this opportunity to learn and share Gods' word.
