I have been burdened for God's church, God's people lately. Our nation is in the midst of crisis that appears to be more severe down the road. All you seem to hear about is buy-outs, sell-outs, take-overs, lay-offs, stimulus, and printing money. What our great nation and God's church needs is to sold-out for Jesus Christ.
This is our same God. We worship and serve this same great God. His decrees and regulations are still righteous and fair for us today. Surrounding nations can look at us and say that we are wise and prudent not because of who we are but because of who our God is.
"If God's people would completely obey His righteous and fair decrees we will considered a wise and intelligent nation. If God's people would humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and turn from our wicked ways (and yes God's people have wicked ways) then He, the God of Abraham, Issac, Jacob, and.....(fill in your name) will forgive our sin and heal our land. Then our nation will no longer be in need of buy-outs, sell-outs, take-overs, lay-offs, and printing more money. We will be healed!!!!!!!
"Obey them completely, and you will display your great wisdom and intelligence among the surrounding nations. When they hear all these decrees, they will exclaim, 'How wise and prudent are the people of this great nation! For what great nation has a god as near to them as the LORD our God is near to us whenever we call on Him? And what great nation has decrees and regulations as righteous and fair as this body of instructions that I am giving your today?'" (Deuteronomy 4:6-8)
This is our same God. We worship and serve this same great God. His decrees and regulations are still righteous and fair for us today. Surrounding nations can look at us and say that we are wise and prudent not because of who we are but because of who our God is.
"If My people, who are called by My name, shall humble themselves, pray, seek, crave, and require of necessity My face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land." (2 Chronicles 7:14~AMP)

Beautiful song. How I need to see the Lord as holy and Almighty. I needed to be reminded of the wonder...the awe...the power of His name. He IS my everything, and I WILL adore Him. Girls, through all this, I WILL STILL adore Him.
The feeling of being completely forsaken yesterday was met by the loving arms and prayers of so many of you. My sweet friend Melissa reminded me that even Christ prayed and asked His Father, "Why have you forsaken me?"
This morning the words that jumped off the page at me were found in Deut 4:29-31, "...you will search again for the LORD your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him...you will finally return to the LORD your God and listen to what he tells you. For the LORD your God is a merciful God; he will not abandon you or destroy you..."
Thank You Lord.
Yesterday, I never did get to see my Daddy. After 4 phone calls from the hospital, our family was advised not to visit. Daddy had gone so completely violent they didn't feel it was best we come. Our family is caught in "days of Job", each one bringing more bad news. And not only am I watching my Dad suffer, but I'm watching my sweet little Mom have the life torn out of her.
Satan can arouse doubts, infuse anger, make us question, but he cannot, CANNOT claim our hearts, they belong to Christ. Oh for faith, to trust Him more.
Through tears, "This is the day the Lord has made", oh Father please give me the strength to "rejoice and be glad in it".
Thanks again friends for your many words of encouragement and prayers. I can't wait to share the day that the Lord breaks through and I have good news to share.
A surrendered heart,
Joy

I continue to Pray for you and your family.
Wendy Thank for your hard work.
I couldn't see what song, for some reason it was blanked out on me.
I am heading out of town today for the weekend. Traveling to So Or (with God and my Bible) for a mini family reunion. I would appreciate prayers for our families safety, us that are traveling and those that will have to stay here.
Thank You.
Lynn
Amen, to everything you wrote today, Wendy!
John 14:21, "Whoever has my commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves me. He who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him." God's Word, clearly shows us the importance of his commandments; Satan desperately tries to lure us away from them. They are the only part of our Bible written by the finger of God.
Today, the love of God was made known to his people. "Because he loved your ancestors, he chose to bless their descendanst, and he personally broght you out of Egypt with a great display of power."
Oh, to know that our God loves us! Help me dear Lord to obey your commands; to cling to You and abide in you throughout my day.
"Rather than love, than money, than fame give me truth."
-Henry David Thoreau, Walden, 1854
We have the truth in our precious Bible...If only our nation could seek the Word...
Loved the song, Holy, Holy Holy is the Lord Almighty...-Adoring you Oh Lord today, Lori - Mesa, AZ
Praying for you dear sister, Joy.
Loved what Melanie wrote you yestrday..."trust in the prayers of others to pull you through."
God knows your beautful, trusting and faithful heart. You are in His hands...just the perfect place to be in a crisis. Hoping today is the day we all see a TURN-AROUND! Like Beth Moore says...there will be a wait and a wait and a wait...then God comes to the situation and does a complete TURN-AROUND!
Wendy, I shared similar thoughts as I read this morning, but from the angle of Moses repetitious words, "The Lord was angry with me because of you". My initial thoughts were, why do we always find someone else to blame for our wrong doings? Why is it always someone else's fault? When are we going to take responsiblity for our own actions as God's people? My mind immediately focused on the state of the economy and on Wall Street trillionare, who the fingers are being pointed at.
I agree 100% with you Wendy!! Until God's people refrain from their wicked actions and seek God's face, this land will never be healed!!! The good God does for us, far outways the bad things that he allows to happen, in an effort to get our attention.
Joy, be encouraged in the Lord. Weeping may endureth for the day, but JOY cometh in the morning.
Lynn, wishing you and your family safe travels this weekend.
God blessings and have a great weekend everyone.

I was struck in today's reading at how many references were made to "fire". I wondered what God was speaking to me about it.
I then drove to work and witnessed the most beautiful sun rising in the sky - it was like a huge red and orange beachball hung in the sky. I was able to look directly at the sun - a ball of fire! I saw the beauty in fire, not the part that makes you wince and blinds you to it's purpose.
Fire doesn't have to mean destruction, Hellfire, wrath. We Christians should have a fire in our hearts that make people take notice. Fire always draws attention and results in action.
May our souls burn for Jesus - to know Him more each day. May we not fear the fire, but welcome it, even if it is present to refine us.
Lord, help me to not quench Your Spirit, but to flame the fire you've placed in my heart. AMEN

Good Morning Sweet Friends. I don't have much time to write today, but wanted to at least offer some hope to Joy.
Joy, I continue playing this song and you keep coming to my mind. The song is "Our Hope Endures" by Natalie Grant. I am including the URL to youtube.com. so you can listen.

The words "Emmanuel - God with us. El Shaddai - all sufficient" are for you dear one. Keep the hope in truth - God is in control and will never abandon you or your daddy!
Blessed weekend!
God has so graciously giving us what the children of Israel did not have “the indwelling of the Holy Spirit” to give us power to learn and obey God's word. We often yearn for how God talked and appeared to the saints of old, but I believe we are living in the finest hour! The Holy Spirit living in us forever (not just coming on us for a specific task) as the teacher and compass for life struggles. His love always draws us back when we fail or falter. I am in love with Jesus, what about you?
Joy, I am praying with you, God will bring you and your family through this with a great display of his power!
Have a safe and glorious weekend!
Debbie - North Carolina
Amen and amen and amen! That 2 Chronicles passage is one of my fvorites! It's a prayer for our nation for sure. And I pray it as a prayer for our family. It all begins with one heart, one home, one family.
Going to watch the video now!
Getting ready for G&G tonight! :)
