Open Blog Weekend - June 6-7
I am heading away for a 24 hour writing retreat. Many of you know I am working on my second book. I am putting together my proposal this weekend and plan to pitch my book to three publishers at She Speaks. If you think of me, please pray I make the most this short of respite I have. I remember He holds time in His hands.

I know when are in the middle of this amazing study of God's Word. Perhaps this summer you and a group of girls might would be interested in participating in an online study my sweet friend and She Speaks roommate, Wendy Blight is leading. She recently published her first book Hidden Joy and will be leading a study of this book on her blog. Those who participate will read a chapter a week and visit her blog once a week, Wednesday I think, for group discussion. Wendy is a tender soul with a passion for Bible literacy and application. I know you will be blessed by her teaching and by getting to know her better.

Have a great weekend!

Thinking of you, dear Wendy is easy to do! Remember, "This is the day that the Lord has made." Psalm 118:24
I'm praying that each hour of the day brings you positive and constructive moments, along with new opportunities as you get closer to finishing up your goal! Dear Lord, Bless this new day for sister Wendy! Work along side her and let her know you are there.

Love, Lori - AZ

Praying blessing for you Wendy; and for a hedge of protection around you that nothing deter you from letting God's word and spirit flow through you and spill forth onto the paper.

Many thanks, too, for the link to Wendy Blight's online summer bible study. I am in transition, moving from one city & church to another, and of course all studies are suspended for the summer, so I've been feeling a bit at sea without a weekly group...this is just the ticket!

What a bonus to be going in to a new group already recognizing some of the members...:)

Wishing you all rest & refreshment this weekend, may God pour out his spirit on you until you literally glow!

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up your daughter Wendy this day. Clear her mind of "life" and help her to focus on you and her writing. May she be able to let her pen or keys flow with inspiration. Help her to know her family is in your loving care this 24 hours. Thinking of you Wendy as you write!

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for this day and the freedom we have to worship you. Lord, I lift my sister Wendy up to you and ask that you just surround her with what she needs. Guide her thoughts, words and mind as she writes this weekend. Lord, please protect her and her family giving her peace of mind while she is away. We know her love for you is ever present and ever seeking. Her commitment is evident with her daily writings and witness in her walk. Bring her back refreshed and renewed. These things we ask and Lord we thank you.Amen.

Have a wonderful weekend ladies,
Diane

Father, Most Holy Precious God,

I lift up Wendy to you dear Father, as she embarks on a day with you. Just as you were with Moses on the mountain instructing him what to write, please give Wendy the words and ideas straight from you. Please open her eyes to your will for this book, and also please begin to open the hearts and eyes of the editors that will read her proposal.

We know Lord that you do all things for your good. Thank you for what you are doing for Wendy this weekend.

In your precious name and will we lift this to you, Amen.
