Overwhelmed. That is the word that best describes how I felt as I read each precious word of the testimonials I received. Not because of your thanks to me. God heard and answered my prayers for you, for us. We built a community-those who commented and those who need not comment. He fed us everyday, daily manna, just enough for the day-golden nuggets as one called them. He gave us a "burning desire" to know His Word. He gave us a hunger for more. He called us to spend time with Him each day and we were "lost" if we did not. He is FAITHFUL!!!!! I can't wait to see what 2010 brings. More God--that is what I want--more God.
This weekend is much like most the week has been-cold and wet. Cold as defined by Southerners. Scott and I are attending his 25th high school class reunion. We are excited to have a night out together as well as being with friends we have not seen in years.
Hope you all stay warm, dry, and have some moments to celebrate this weekend. Thank you for your continued prayers for me this week. There are decisions to be made and we are seeking God's guidance for every step. He is showing Himself through the process. I appreciate you all!
If you want to send a testimonial but haven't yet. Please feel free to do so. I would love to hear from you. wendy@wendypope.org.

Wendy, when do you need the testimonies to be sent to you by? Will was out of school this past week on fall break and we celebrated my bday and went to The Smokies for a few days. This year with you and all these dear sisters has been wonderful! I would love to send you a few lines of what this has meant first of this coming week when things get back to "normal" :)
Prayers for you! Hope you all have had a wonderful week. Missed chatting with you all, but have kept up with the reading. I am reading a book right now that I HIGHLY recommend to all of you. It is called "Sitting at the Feet of Rabbi Jesus." Since reading this book I have learned so much about how to read Christ's words and gotten more insight into the Jewish culture in which He lived. It will change the way you read the NT and it shows you how much the OT goes hand in hand with it as it shows you how to relate Christ's words to the OT as the Jewish people would have done. I am looking forward to staring our reading over again in '10 and have all this in the back of my mind. I think I will be able to understand and connect the OT better next year as I have read through the whole Bible this year and now this book along with it.
Blessings sisters,

Wendy, thinking about the decisions you need to make, two phrases from this weekends reading are echoing in my mind.
Sat - "As Jesus was walking along..." John 9:1
Sun - "...he walks ahead of them..." John 10:4
He is walking with you and before you, guarding and guiding. Praying you will know His will beyond a doubt and walk in the freedom and assurance that knowing brings.
Praying for you,
Joy
I trust that by the time you get to read this, you have had a restful, fun weekend. If the decisions you need to make are still heavy on your heart, my prayer is that God's guidance will lead you. This scripture comes to mind in the book of Joshua.
"Have I not commanded you? Be strong & courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." Joshua 1:9
I am in the process of making some heavy decisions and it has helped me.
Praying for you Wendy and this blog group here.
I miss hearing from some of you. Just to name a few that post regular, missing your nuggets.

Oh my, my,Diane! That was one of the verses I was going to give dear Wendy! And, also… “The LORD will go ahead of you; yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind, (Isa. 52:12). Isn’t it just grand when you sit down and think that God is with us each step we take! He promises He is. Even more surprising than that…He has gone before us to prepare the way! And…he is still behind us protecting our backside! So, dear Wendy, not only is He with you, He’s behind you, and He’s ahead of you, too! Wherever you go, you are encircled by our almighty God! This is all the encouragement you need! :)
I’ve so missed all of you this week; it was our fall break and it was divine! Away from the routine and schedules…enjoying God’s creation and many memorable moments! I felt like “Mary,” all week, and oh, how the Martha in me is trying to take over! The readings were awesome this week, ladies! I’m enjoying all your comments as our holiday is coming to an end. So, so many wonderful GOLDEN nuggets to cling to this past week. I can’t wait for to tomorrow’s reading!
Hugs, Lori - AZ
PS Praying for you Susan.
