Girls (and Guys) this weekend finds me extremely busy with final prep for She Speaks. I am speaking twice. (My messages still are not complete-but don't tell anyone. Smile) My book proposal needs some more attention. Oh, and I have my sweet family to love and serve before I leave for the conference on Tuesday. Yes, Tuesday. My sweet husband is sending me a day early so that I can have some RR and special time with the other man in my life, Jesus.
We (our P31 family) covet your prayers. There is still much to do and our staff will be working through the weekend finishing the final preparations. Especially pray for LeAnn. Her dedication to this conference is amazing She never wants recognition. It is her desire for God to get all the glory.
I have already read our weekend's assignment. It is good stuff! Be blessed my bloggy family.

I was already on my knees this morning praying for you by name and all the P31 team as you continue to prepare for next weekend. I know it's so much work for you all, but I pray you too are blessed for all that you do to pour into the lives of so many others.
At least three times in our reading today, I read about being held in God's hand. The verse I focused on was Isaiah 49:2, "He has hidden me in the shadow of his hand."
Hidden in the shadow. Protected. Surrounded. Enclosed. An inseparable companion.
Do you ever wish for a place where no-one and nothing can touch you or find you? Unwelcome intruders cannot take hold. No illness. No disease. No loss. No separation. No hurt. No pain. No tears.
Concealed in a shadow that is always larger. Always safer. Always present.
Wrapped in the security of His hand. A powerful, nail-scarred hand that tenderly, yet firmly guards your life. Fears fade. Doubts diminish. Rest is certain. Strength is infused. Inside this shadow worries and cares are forgotten. A place of comfort, dependability and certainty.
Acceptance. Love. Peace. Refuge.
Dark clouds gather. Thunder rolls. You are held. Free of cares. Total trust.
The shadow separates and defines reality. Suddenly you see Who is real.
Released from anxiety...you breathe.
May we know today that our lives are hidden with Christ in God, Col. 3:3.
Enjoy your Saturday everyone!

Hi friends! ...as I prepare to leave for Alaska in the morning, I also covet prayers for safe travel for my husband and I. Thank you for what you wrote Joy, it comforted me, as I too am but a novice traveler, and airplanes unease me. I have the peace to know though that whatever happens, I am in God's hands and I will be okay.
I'll keep reading along these next 2 weeks, but don't know if I'll have any chances to log into a computer....I'm excited to see God's majesty!

Praying for you Friend. And for all the P31 girls. I cannot wait to see you!!
Hey Wendy,
I am still praying for you as you get all the last minute things ready for She Speaks. It is hard for us moms to leave the family and house to fun with out us. How sweet of your honey to let you go early to spend time with the other man in your life!
I will be coming in on Thursday night which is a change for me as well. Did we ever fiugre out how many were going to be there from the blog?
I will be at your 2:30 session on Saturday, should you need help with anything. I can even sit in the front row for moral support. :-)
Hugs dear friend and can't wait to see you and give you a hug.
Love ya,
Diane
Gals, don't worry I have a camera and will take lots of pictures.
I'm still here...bringing up the rear!
I fell behind in my readings during the packing, the actual move and the moving in.
Now in my new home and somewhat settled, this week I finally sat down to devise a plan to catch up...and sisters, do I have a testimony to God's Perfect Timing(!) ~ everything is so in step with what he is teaching me! I was meant to be behind at this point!
** I really hope this encourages someone else who may have fallen behind. :) **
I had to go clear back to July 9th, so am catching up at a rate of 2 readings a day. Today I read the readings for the 14th - 24th...I've been hitting the Archives to "join in" on your responses to the readings. I am so blessed by your words and your sharing. I have missed you all!
It won't be until July 31st I am literally back on the same page and writing on the same day as all of you...but I am still journeying along, nevertheless!
Like gifts under the tree waiting to be opened...that is how I feel about going back to read where you all were when you were where I am now...I refuse to read ahead...though it is tempting! :)
I have to say as a case in point...Wendy's P31 Encouraging Word devotion this past week regarding "Thus Far" hit home to me "alive" center. I can't wait to read what you all said. I forwarded it to many of my friends and sisters in Christ. I missed you all so Much that day!
God is speaking into my life through all of you and this study. What richness and what JOY!
Praying for She Speaks and all involved, and for all of YOU as well with love and thanksgiving for all of his Goodness & Glory!
Your sister sojourner/caboose and the new kid on the block in SE AK,
Liz
Praying for all the P31 ladies. You ladies are the best. I don't think you will ever fully comprehend what a blessing you all are to us attendees. I applaud and appreciate tremendously all of you for your dedication and passion!
Oh, Dear Ladies, it is nice getting settled back at the home-front...and spending some time pondering over your comments. This week's readings have been food to chew on all day long!
I absolutely can hold on to the end of today's reading: "For the LORD will go ahead of you; yes, the God of Israel will protect you from behind." Recently, we read that he is beside us and that he also surrounds us. He's everywhere! What is there not to get about that? Yes, it's not easy to understand, but the Bible says so! Truth. Thank you dear LORD for putting your words in my mouth and for hiding me safely in your hand. 51:16 LORD, you've got my attention! I'm seeking you. I'm listening to you. I'm anticipating the goodness that only you can provide. Thank you for your never-ending love! Amen.
Wendy, You are will taken care of in the prayer department. I'm anticipating the power of the Holy Spirit to flow right out of you!!! I wish I was right there next to Diane on the front row! :) Thank you for reminding us to pray for LeAnn.
Brandee, you've been a special blessing to me from God. I'm the one getting blessed. Your enthusiasm for Jesus and your love for His Word is contagious! Love what you wrote about~Never, is God inactive!
Glad you're settling in Liz! Karen, always love to hear the different names of the LORD.
Kristen, your comments opened up a bit of sin on my heart! It was a light bulb moment. But, oh how wonderful is our God... He won't wipe us out! He's refining us! So, we will be more like Him. Thank you, Lord for your patience with me. Patty~I'm praying for Sarah!
Thank you ladies from the bottom of my heart! He has all of us "hidden in the shadow of his hand." I liked that verse, too Joy!
Enjoy the Sabbath tomorrow.
