Our God is such an exact, precise, and orderly god, isn't He? One of my favorite portions of today's reading were the 1/4, 1/2, and 3/4 measurements. The same God who spoke the world into place cares about a 1/2 inch measurement. We read all this information when the Temple was originally built the first time, but today I read it differently. He is so exact, with everything He does. I just love that about Him. Reading this measurements builds my faith in Him because I am His Temple.
Our bodies are the Temple or dwelling place of the Holy Spirit-the Living God. Saying those words gives me holy-goose bumps!

Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit lives in you?

Having this information makes the following verses come alive. I might have to be like my friend Micca and stand in my chair to do the Jesus dance:
After this, the man brought me back around to the east gateway. Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory. This vision was just like the others I had seen, first by the Kebar River and then when he came to destroy Jerusalem. I fell face down on the ground. And the glory of the Lord came into the Temple through the east gateway.

Oh, dear Jesus, Holy One of Heaven, let Your glory fill me today! Be as exact and precise with me as you were with the Solomon's temple

Happy Friday Ladies!
As the specifications and details were given, I too, noticed how exact He was. Through His grace and mercy, that He'd pick a sinner like me to house Him. I spent some time just focusing on this. Really focusing. I'm His house. He is inside me, never leaving me. Never. He knows everything there is to know, and everything there is to know about tomorrow! When we truly know what we hold we look at how we take care of ourselves from a whole different angle! Thoughts. Actions. Words. What we wear. A few words really stood out to me: Ezekiel 42:32 -"And this is the basic law of the Temple: absolute holiness!"
I'm beginning to love the details written in the Bible. Earlier this month, we read about when Ezekiel saw God leave from the east, and today, in 42:2, the glory of the God appeared from the east!
37:26-28 He gives His everlasting covenant..."He will put His Temple among them forever..." and today He renews this Promise again - 43:7 "I will live here forever among the people of Israel."
My study Bible talked about God's Glory always being active. Ezekiel could hear and see God, "like the roar of rushing waters." Rev. 1:15 & 14:2 & 19:;6 - speaks of the rushing waters.
And, His visible glory is always described as being very bright. See Rev. 21: 11,23.
Oh, the Temple of the Lord, His dwelling place is in us! Freed from sin, as we serve our almighty God we are able to enjoy the peace, that only He can provide to us.
Lord, This moment I come before you, humbled at the thought that I would be one of your chosen ones. Let me not take this privilege for granted. I want my thoughts to be Holy. I want my actions to be Holy. I want my words to be Holy. I want to please to You. May your radiancy be seen in me as the Holy Spirit comes out of me. Thank you for your Promise. You will live forever within me. Amen.
Praying for you today, dear Susan...Jodie, hang in there -maybe today is the day! Maybe Monday: Labor Day! :) Karen -praying for a safe flight! May you and your husband be THRILLED at each others sight as you embrace each other!
Brandee sends her "hello's," she will be returning in a week or so...
Oh, dear Wendy, I can't give you enough, "THANKS!" Love coming everyone's way!

Hi ladies,
Thanks for all your wonderful prayers and well wishes. Saw my OB, seems the amniotic fluid is low and my doc would like to induce this weekend (Sat or later if they are running behind). This is not what we hoped, we would like to have a completely natural birth.
Please say a prayer that Thumper decides to come on his/her own before we get into a situation where induction is necessary.
Trying hard to trust in His perfect plan and take refuge in His love.
Jodie
Thank you all for your prayers... they're like a warm blanket on this chilling morning in VA - you can tell fall is just around the corner! I leave for my biopsy this morning with a close friend who was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer in January - she has completed treatment, and offered to go with me... God has hand-picked me some good friends! :)
As I read Wendy's post is brought to mind something our guide told us when my husband & I were fortunate to visit Isreal in 2006. We stood on the Mount of Olives looking down on the Old City - the same place Jesus looked down upon Jerusalem and "He wept" (Lk 19:41)
In front of us we looked on the Eastern Gate, the openings closed up with concrete; and a Muslim cemetary along the length of the Eastern Gate wall. A desolate stretch of dusty, stone crypts of varying heights - nothing like our cemetaries of green grass and markers. The Arabs did this to keep Jesus from coming into Jerusalem - they believe a prophet will not walk over dead bodies. And if he did, there was no "door" for him to get through.
Another scene looking down from the Mount of Olives is the hillside covered with a Jewish cemetary. These people are buried facing the Eastern Gate so that when the Messiah comes they will rise up with Him and enter the city in triumph.
Reading about the glorious entrance of our Savior through the Eastern Gate fills me with anticipation and hope! No concrete walls and dried up bones will stand against Him! Alleluia!
Dear Sister's I really have to pop right back in to tell you about my God Moment, on my walk this morning:
This morning, Ezekiel 43: 2, became alive to me, “Suddenly, the glory of the God of Israel appeared from the east. The sound of his coming was like the roar of rushing waters, and the whole landscape shone with his glory.” God’s visible Glory many times is in terms of brightness. [see Rev. 21:11 & 23]
While walking this morning, I prayed that His radiancy would be seen in me as His Holy Spirit comes out of me today. I thanked Him for His Promise, that he will never leave me. That my body is His House. That forever, He will be inside of me. I prayed that I would be so full of His Holy Spirit, that this bright light of His, would just shine out of me.
Now, here’s the good part! As I was walking EAST, my eyes were focused on the heavens above. I could see for miles and miles. I marveled at the mountains in the distance. And, before my very own eyes, I observed the clouds turning color! From white, they became different shades of lavender. A bluish purple. Bouncing around delicately, as they swayed back and forth, you could almost reach up and touch them! Then, peaking behind the mountain came the MOST unbelieveable site! A tangerine colored, perfect ball, radiantly dominating the sky! Never, have I seen the sun shine in such a bright way. The most beautiful orange color I’ve ever seen. I stared in disbelief. Then the edges looked like they were on fire! Even brighter than the center-part! I gazed in disbelief, as the surrounding clouds came into the sun and hugged it. Each cloud was surrounded by a deeper color of purple. The purple and orange contrast took my breath away. Not to mention the deep bold mountain – backdrop! I just stared. Then, the verse came to me…”Suddenly, the glory of the God…appeared from the east…and the whole landscape shone with his glory.” It was a God-Moment. A gift to me from my Father as I was pray-walking with Him this morning. I thanked Him for His creation. I thanked Him for revealing Himself to me at that very moment. I continued to walk east, and neared my turning south. And, as I did, I looked to my left, and what did I see? Seriously…a white sky…the sun hidden behind the clouds. No purple. No orange. It vanished. A bit later, as I looked, it was brilliant white coming out with clouds surrounding it. Bright. Lucent. Shining. The sun, shining bright gave me peace this morning, as God revealed Himself to me. Thank you dear Lord, for letting me really see YOU! Thank you Lord, that you live inside of me! Knowing that you are always with me gives me peace.
Hugs, Lori - AZ
I loved Ezekiel 42:32, Lori!
Oh December Rose, I would love to see those sights one day. The thought of being buried facing the Eastern Gate in anticipation of His return-wow!
Oh Wendy, I love your prayer. Yes Lord, let Your glory fill me today. Be as exact and percise with me as you were with Solomon's temple.
The verse that took my attention was, “The room beside the south inner gate is for the priests in charge of the altar - the descendants of Zadok - for they alone of all the Levites may approach the LORD to minister to him.” Ezekiel 40:46
The descendants of Zadok approached the LORD to minister to Him. Do I ever think about ministering to God’s heart? Would I even know how? Not ministering for Him, or with Him or in Him, but to Him.
My mind drifts to the passage in Matthew 25:31-46. We minister to the Lord when we feed the hungry, give water to the thirsty, clothe the naked and visit those in prison. When we share His love with others we are ministering to Him.
How will I minister to His heart today?
Joy
