WOW!!!! What a week!!
God has blessed me and many around me beyond measure.
First:
The response to Read Through the Word was incredible. 607 people have made a commitment to read through God's Story in 2010. I stand amazed at what God can do with words-His and mine. It looks like our bloggy family is going to grow next year. Good thing we have room. The Bibles arrived Thursday via an extra large UPS Brown truck. We were all doing the happy dance.

Second:
I prayed for a friend and God answered my prayer quickly, beyond all I could ask or imagine. He blessed her abundantly. You know her. Her name is Wendy Blight.
Third:
God miraculously worked out a HUGE problem for another friend. Her spirit went from desperation to complete elation and awe within two hours. You know her. Her name is LeAnn Rice.
On the same day I got to share a smile and some love with our sweet baby Aster.
Fourth:
Today is my birthday and I received many emails and expressions of love. Thank you to all who expressed love to me.
On the same day, my son received his green belt in Karate. Wow-what a week! And the weekend will be even better. I will update you later.

Oh Wendy I forgot that a little bird told us that it was your Birthday on Friday....oops Let me be the first to wish you a Happy Belated Birthday!! Please consider this wish just making your special day last a bit longer! :) May God reach into His rich store house of blessings just for you this year of LIFE...sounds like he has already started! :)

Praise You Father! Ahh, my heart felt joy as I opened your blog this morning and saw all of those Bibles stacked up high! Happy Day!
Today's reading- so, so good! I loved Acts 2:25-28. "...and you will fill me with the joy of your presence." That is exactly what my Father did to me a couple of days ago. As I was praying He so clearly pointed out that His ways are always best for what we need at the time. Oh, to be so at peace knowing whatever happens is good. That prayer request that I was talking about, well yesterday I found out! He allowed it to happen! :) Receiving what I wanted for my son was good; but, i will have to say, the time I spent praying over this for a year was even better. As i prayed, He gave me words and my own prayer, over time, turned into His prayer.
I absolutely loved reading about the believers during this period of time. How did they spend their days?
*meeting together in one place
*sharing everything they had
*sharing their money with those in need
*Worshiping together
*sharing their meals w/ generosity
*All the while praising God
*united in prayer
*And...each day the Lord added to their fellowship who were saved!
We each have His Holy Spirit! WE are saved from this "crooked generation!" 2:40

Lori, I was going to comment on what the believers did and how they spent what they had. You said it so well, I can't add anything more.
There is a wonderful song by Todd Agnew, he talks about how he asks God to give him more, so he can bless more. Then resonds with God saying "take what you have and use it first." Powerful song!
I am laying low today, might do it outside. The high today is going to be in the upper 60's.

There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved...not Peter, not John, not Paul, not our pastors, not our parents, not our dearest friends. Jesus, name above all names!

Praising God for all His goodness. So many blessings. I read LeAnn's story on her blog - WOW! All your pics and updates just thrilled my heart.
My heart was also thrilled by our weekend reading. On Saturday I "cast my lot" (Acts 1:23f) imploring God for guidance in two decisions that need to be made. Again I was reminded that my job is to trust and God's job is to lead.
Today I just went from one verse to the next hearing God speak. Far too much to share here, but one thing that thrilled me was Peter's transformation. From cowering to courageous. The man who denied, now determined and deliberate. The dabbler turned disciple. From hiding in the shadow to people seeking to stand in his shadow (Acts 5:25). From impetuous to intentional. What happened?
Powerful experience. Personal encounter. Pardon enjoyed.
No longer could he contain what Christ had done. When God's power shows up His passion is released. "But Peter...replied,...'We cannot stop telling about everything we have seen and heard.'" Acts 4:20
Praying His passion will be released in me,
