Uhm, Wendy, it's only July 7 but maybe God wants us to park on the verses for July 8th, so we'll go with that. I know my heart was touched when you said our God is always the same 102:27, God keeps His promises. In the dark of the night and the midst of trials it is comforting to know that God holds it all together. Inspite of it all, let all that I am praise the LORD!
Psalm 104:9 "Then you set a firm boundary for the seas, so they would nver again cover the earth." The word "boundary" caught my eye. God sets boundaries in nature. It follows that we need to do the same in our relationships. Particularly our marriage. There should be boundaries where outside influences (eg. in-law's opinions/problems/bad choices/dysfunction, etc - purely hypothetical, of course LOL!) should not be allowed to encroach in the marriage to the detriment of the husband and wife relationship.
I love how even nature cannot help but praise the LORD. It reminds me of the account of Jesus' triumphal entry and the Pharisees asked Jesus to stop the disciples from proclaiming He is God. Jesus replied He can't because if He did the rocks would cry out and proclaim it. I wonder if that is how creation was before sin entered the world?

After talking to my friend last night and hearing about how hard it is for her to read these joyful psalms when she's feeling such fear and sorrow, I couldn't get my mind fully away from her situation and totally parked on Psalms today. I have been away for over a month! And through God's help and prayer of others I started back today. Oh how I have missed this every day. But is this the right vlog? GP, I too noticed what you saw in our nature, but –it was from today’s reading! Have not had a chance yet to read tomorrow’s reading! Today, (July 7) I loved “let the trees of the forest rustle with praise” (96:12). There is an area -several hours up north from where we live where we enjoy picnicking at. There are thousands of tall aspens, and you can sit amongst them and hear “the rustling sound.” Now, I know they are praising the LORD, too!
On my way now to “hear” God’s beautiful sounds of praise on my walk!

I have been away from a computer for a week now and I have MISSED you and your words of encouragement and words of wisdom. It's so good to be back! Today as I was listening to Wendy, I kept thinking, " I missed that!" The more she talked, I thought, "How could I have missed all that and not remember any of it?" Then when I read the comments I was relieved to hear that Wendy was on tomorrow's reading. :)
My nuggets for today:

Ps.95:6-7 says,"Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care."
How humbling it is to enter the throne room of God. We are His sheep, which He guards and cares for.
Ps.96:2-3 tells us,"Sing to the Lord; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves. Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does."
It sounds like what we are doing with the computer.
Ps.97:11 says,"Light shines on the godly, and joy on those whose hearts are right."
May God's light shine in me and joy

What a great morning this is. Maybe we should always have Wendy to show the highpoints of what we are going to study. I think after this I will listen to her before my reading each day.

With the reading today. I would stop and reread and say to myself that is just the best. Then I would read on and say no this is the best. And then once I again I found myself saying it again and again.
We have talked about the wicked acting like the wicked, and how we endure them. But listening to His words today, I found myself saying "if I would get "even" or "tell them off" or "stomp my feet" at them it would nothing to compare to how the LORD is going to punish them. then add along side of that how his children are going to be blessed. Makes me realize how important it is to tell my neighbors and relatives about HIM so they can enjoy HIS blessings. HE has enough to cover us all. What a glorious God HE is.
I praise and am so thankful that I have this study with ya"ll. "It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to the Most High. It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning, your faithfulness in the evening." now if I only had a harp and lyre, and knew how to play them. "You thrill me LORD with all you have done for me, I sing for joy because of what you have done." and the rest of 92. Isn't it just the best. But then He mentioned me in v 14. that I can still produce fruit for Him, and best of all - I will remain vital and green. thank you for that promise. I will really chew on that today, and tomorrow and the next day.........

Sing a new song unto the Lord! Accompanied by the ten-stringed harp and the melodious lyre! There are so many references to music and song in the readings for the 7th and 8th as a way to praise and celebrate our God among us! I am being inspired to write my own song of praise and thanksgiving on my 24-stringed harp, for He HAS done wondrous deeds! I want to give Him pleasure with my music!
This morning is a cause for celebration-- we will be traveling to take Michael to his treatment facility for a 30 day stay. I could never have even imagined this a month ago! Isn’t it amazing how God works?!!! From the moment we heard that he was missing last week, there were countless things that aligned for us-- too many to mention. In any other given week, the physical moving, the many road trips, and our availability for phone calls and appointments would have been almost impossible to take care of, but God was the architect! He is so awesome! This is just the beginning of a long road ahead, but now that the physical things are put into place, please pray for God’s spirit to fill his emptiness with new hope and purpose, and renewed trust in Him. Thank you so much for your tremendous spiritual support on this journey.
You guys are so wonderful for praying for my mom! Donna, I was so enthused to send out an APB to all my sibs, explaining the Blessing Book, and asking if they would like to contribute. Your idea is so perfect for her, thank you for sharing your devotion to these seniors! You are definitely not in the category of “old!”

It fills my heart with joy that it may be possible for you to continue with an active group for another round! This is just my first trip through the bible, and I know I will see and appreciate the scenery so much more the second time around! I know what you mean about attacks...I feel Satan has been on my case, trying to get me feeling real negative about my life instead of looking to all the blessings God has ahead of me. I have a prayer request - my close friend's dad has been battling cancer for 10 years and the doctors have pretty much said they are out of options. Also, a new friend (a new mother) also been diagnosed with a very aggressive cancer. Praying against this curse of cancer, sickness and death. Asking for miracles today.
I have been listening to this VLOG as I type but I need to go back and listen again. Just wanted to pop in quickly while Elliot is down. Hope you are all enjoying a wonderful summer. Love you girls (and guys)

Jacque--thank you for your support. I am SO happy that you have found a treatment facility for Michael. A book that I just recently read flashed into my mind. The book is "Walking on Broken Glass" by Christa Allan The main character in the book checks herself into rehab for alcohol and along the way learns about herself and God. The reason the book flashed into my memory is that her first AA meeting refences God is SO many ways. I will be praying that while in rehab Michael will be able to learn not only about himself but about the One who made him.
I am wondering about Suzie and Kelly today. Has anyone heard anything?

Just to let everyone know, especially all who have prayed for Kelly. Her CT scans again show no cancer in her lungs. God is showing all is might and glory through Kelly.
She does have some damage from a chemo agent to her heart so she will also be following her heart. And, God knows her heart.
God sets boundaries as we should set boundary's in our lives, for our self, our family our kids.
As well as we should set boundaries with other commitments that try to encroach in what is so important our praise, worship of God and husband, family and all which should all come first.
I have prayed to God in all that I am, and I have praise for God and All that He is!

Friends. I'm back from a wonderful weekend at my aunt's house on a lake. I got back home yesterday afternoon. I rode on my uncle's boat and I also went tubing. I was pulled by the jet ski. I still feel like I'm rocking bak and forth and bouncing from the fast ride on the tube.
I'm really enjoying the book of Psalms. The first thing that jumped out at me was Psalm 92:1-2. This is from KJV.

This morning during my quiet time I was so consumed with the reading and my thoughts and writing them in my journal, and praying and catching up on yesterdays many (finally) posts that I didn’t leave time for my usual morning post. Chuck and I had to drop his car off at the mechanics, and we stopped at Friendlys for breakfast. Then it was time to “get the cottage in order” (a borrowed Maeve Binchey expression I love), then drive my dad to the barber (and more reading during that hour long visit!) I just assembled a care package I’m sending to Lauren, but then I said to myself, “Michelle, you’re NOT allowed to go to the POST Office until you POST, ha ha!”
As I listened to Wendy talk about yesterday’s posting problems (it was awesome to speak with you, Wendy girl!) I felt moved to pray this prayer. “Thank you, Lord, for the hardworking people at Blogger who have used the gifts that You have given them to make this cyberspace sisterhood possible. Without them, we would not be able to talk to each other about You and our walk with You. Without them we would not have a means to learn of prayer needs and to pray for each other. And without them we would not have a vehicle to pour our encouraging words into, and send those words anywhere in the world they need to go. Without them, Lord, your remnant would be smaller. Thank you, Lord, for the people at Blogger, and please bless them. I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.

I’m getting old, and definitely aspire to be the kind of older woman that Dixie and Teeny are, and Jeanne (Jacque’s mother) and also Donna’s mother, who Donna described so beautifully in her post last Friday. Donna, what was you dear mom’s name?) And I want to be the kind of person my great Aunt “Mike” (Lois) was. She passed away two years ago this month, and was the most faith-filled person I have ever known. On the “Spiritual To Do List” I made today, I need to find my copy of her eulogy, because there are a few lines in there I really want to share with you all. I know, I will post in on her anniversary in memory of her!
Okay, I’m going to post this, walk the dog, go to the Post Office so my package gets out today, and then later I’ll be back with comments for some of you.

I'm still here, it's just life has gotten hectic. I haven't read in a few days. We were on a vacation over the long weekend, and then I was at the hospital having contractions (34 weeks today) Monday night. We seem to have calmed that down, but now I have a raging bladder infection that has me in quite a bit of pain. Bladder infections are bad enough when you don't have the added pressure down there of a nine month baby! :-( I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow. Also, my husband is as we speak having an MRI/MRA for headaches that have been recurring for two weeks. He hasn't had headaches before, so we are concerned naturally. Anyway, you all are so sweet for praying. I'll be back very soon. :-)
Update: Daddy's colonoscopy went very well. No cancer has returned, so we were all very thankful and relieved. Thank you so much for your prayers.

Grace & Peace, I’m with you on the dangers of our concerns regarding others adversely effecting our marriages. My husband is fond of saying, “If it were only you and me, everything would be fine!” He and I have changed our conversations in a couple of ways this year, and one of them is to talk very little about issues or annoyances or our feelings or opinions about our dealings with, for instance, our aging parents. At school some of the teachers have a “litmus test” of sorts for the children to help them with self-control. They tell them that before they say something, decide if it is 1) nice, 2) true or 3) necessary to say. I like that and I try to remember to use it in my own conversations.
Lori, did you NOT get the memo that all GIGs planning vacations MUST make sure that said vacation destination has Wifi, and that the aforementioned GIG must travel with Bible, laptop, journal and pens (preferably of many colors)? WHAT will we do without you?

Okay, friends, I have a BIG praise report. My son Chuck has a job! Thank you for all your prayers! He will be a long-term substitute high school English teacher, right here in our own town! He calls it “a dream come true.” I was on an outing with my spiritual mentor yesterday when Chuck called my cell phone with the news. I explained to Cheryl that I was so happy for Chuck, but very sad for the teacher whose classes he will teach, because she is undergoing cancer treatment. She suggested that perhaps part of God’s plan in making me aware of this teacher’s situation is to ask this group to pray for her recovery, so that is what I will do. Please, friends, would you add Linda to your prayers. Thank you.

Hey GIGS! I camped out at Psalm 96 this morning. I was sitting under a new shelter at the pool, and the breeze was blowing gently...moving the heat around, but that's ok!! Verses 11 and 12 just spoke to my heart. Loved this.

Hello Everyone!
I got behind a little, with some busy-ness, laziness, and out-of-town-ness... Also, the weekends are very challenging for me in keeping up with this study, because I'm usually tempted to just spend time with my husband and daughter, doing stuff we have planned as a family. But, I so desire to be more disciplined and consistent, putting the Best thing first, and allowing Him to make all the rest even better --> a prayer request, if you are so moved on my behalf. :)
In any case, I LOVED today's reading.. I was especially renewed and encouraged by "I cried out 'I am slipping' but Your unfailing love supported me. When doubts filled my mind, Your comfort gave me renewed hope and cheer." I'm so thankful we have a heavenly Father who sees us in our weaknesses and in our frailty, knowing exactly what we need each day, if we'll look to Him. He is so good and is helping me, "supporting" me to study the Word -- such a source of truth and life!
Thank you each who are praying for our children -- what a gift. Lyn, Stephanie, and Donna: I love you ladies and was delighted to see you sharing here today.
