Some of you have reported that you have stopped receiving daily feeds from my blog. I wanted to let you know that Feedburner, the site responsible for sending the daily posts has be acquired by Goggle. They are having some trouble with the transition. Hopefully, within a week or so things will be back to normal. It may require you to resubscribe. I will let you know more when I find out more.

The idea of a "scapegoat" was interesting to me in today's reading. How many times have we been a scapegoat, or used a scapegoat in our lives?
Isn't Jesus our ultimate scapegoat then?
He takes our sins far away. Amen.

Yes indeed...what a friend we have in Jesus! His life of perfect obedience and his sacrifice for us made it unnecessary for animal sacrifice.
Like the scapegoat, Jesus cast our sins as far as the east is from the west. Amen!
Confession/recognition of our sin through fasting, mourning, self-abasement; pardon by our God through purification by sacrifice of blood; and communion with our community and our LORD in response to our restored relationship...Amen to that!
Prayers of thanksgiving for the light his word shines and prayers for all of you as we hold hands and hearts on this journey!
