Week two of puppy school and Mother's Day get togethers will fill my weekend. In between those laundry, some writing, some make-up work with my little man, and maybe a Sunday afternoon siesta. It is Mother's Day after all.
Whatever your plans this weekend, I pray they are filled with laughter, joy, and Jesus. I look forward to the week ahead.

The Psalms were so good today; there were so many applicable truths to relate to our lives right now.
Psalm 30: 11-12
You have turned my mourning into joyful dancing. You have taken away my clothes of mourning and clothed me with joy, that I might sing praises to you and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give you thanks forever!
I learned in my Esther Study recently, that these were called, "turn-around's." When we are experiencing a time of suffering, God in His goodness and mercy, will come in and change the situation.
We have so much to be thankful for.
"My future is in your hands."
"I will guide you along the best pathway for your life."
"The LORD will hold me close."
"I will advise you and watch over you."
Thank you Lord for your truths.

Here is the answer I got from Tyndale regarding the differences between my NIV bible and your NLT bible.
"Greetings!
The reason the NLT and NIV editions of The One Year Chronological Bible are different is that the NLT edition was updated and refined, but the NIV edition never went through that same update. The NIV edition is set up according to the earlier chronological breakdown. The fact is, there are differences of opinion about how the text should be ordered when put into a chronological order, and some of those differences show up in the differences between these two editions.
Both are excellent tools; the readings just don’t line up everywhere. I hope this answers your question.

Today I loved reading in Psalm 27:8
"My heart has heard you say, "come and talk wtih me." And my heart responds, "Lord, I am coming."
Finding time to be still and know that He is God. Seek and you shall find Him and the time. :)
To those of you in need of healing in family relationships, I loved this one in Psalm 27:10
"Even if my father and mother abandon me, the LORD will hold me close." We can call on Him to be our heavenly parent, while "we wait patiently for the Lord."

Happy Mother's Day, Ladies! Today we are going to surprise my mother. She lives about 3 hours away and we are going to show up at her church. Several weeks ago, I placed a song from third day on my facebook account...Mom said that our friend Russ should sing that song (it reminded her of him)...he plans to sing that today for her. Afterward we (we as in my bro. and sister's family,also) are suppose to have a picnic at her house. Each of us has signed up for certain things to bring.
There is a catch. The storms ripped through her neighborhood and she is without power. They don't expect to have power/water until Monday. We have decided to go ahead anyway, trusting that either the power will be on, or ... we can use the church kitchen afterwards...or we can drive somewhere and take her out to eat. Who knows how this day will turn out! lol It's all going to be a surprise to her...it won't matter what we do.

I read this week [John R. Kohlenberger III]that Psalms in Hebrew (tehillim) means Praises.
Psalm is the praise book of the Bible!
The Hebrew word for praise is hallelu [something we must do together in public] jah
(hallelujah)
Praise is joyfully proclaiming in public, the attributes of God and the acts of God. It is speaking about what God is like and what He does. That's why David can praise God even when he is in desperate trouble. Praise is not to say, "Thanks, God, for this lousy situation." Rather, praise is saying, "God is good and will see me through this lousy situation."
When Yahweh revealed His name in Exodus 3, He declared, "This is my name forever, the name by which I am to be remembered from generation to generation" (v.15). By praising God, we remember Him. When we remember Him, we avoid Israel's error of forgetting and forsaking God.
No wonder "Hallelu-Yah" is the most common command in the Bible!

Nancy...How fun of you to surprise your Mom at church. My daughter and her family surprised me a couple of weeks ago showing up at church. They greeted me at the door. And I looked at them and was just elated to see them and my little Sweet Pea grand-daugher Ryliee! It's one of the best surprises ever. To see your children when you are not expecting to see them is such a blessing. A wonderful gift from God. Enjoy your day with her with or without electricity. I'm sure it won't matter!

Faith and trust in God helps us get to the light at the end of the dark tunnels in life and that light is called HOPE! May His light of HOPE be shining brightly
if any of you are passing through a dark tunnel. Praising God for His faithfulness!
