Open Blog Weekend September 5-6
Sorry this post is late today.

The "Pope Boys" had a sleep over away from home last night. Dove season opens at 12:00 noon today. They are hunting with other Dads and sons and will return home tonight. The "Pope Girls?" We spent the whole day together yesterday: tile shopping, shoe shopping, Good Willing and Consignment store hopping. Supper was at Applebee's with a shared Cheeseburger, topped off with a Triple Meltdown Chocolate Cake for dessert. (You have to try this!) Then we came home, snuggled in my bed to watch HGTV, our favorite station.

Today, is toilet scrubbing and floor mopping day. I will pause every now and then to watch the Love Comes Softly Saga on the Hallmark channel.

Any news on Thumper? Jodie we pray you have a great "Labor Day."

Today I'm thanking The One who is consistent and knows all. This week my brain has been burdened with learning a high school friend has brain cancer; a cousin who was like a childhood sister to me (who I haven't seen now for about 20 years) practices the wiccan religion; and the stress of preparing for bank examiners who are coming for their routine exam next week. Things too burdening for my heart, so I release them onto my Wonderful Counselor. Praising Him for allowing me to do so.
Have nice long weekends everyone...praying for Jodie and baby.

Ladies~Enjoy the Sabbath today! Today's reading is glorious!

“The LORD Is There.” Ezekiel 48:35

David Crowder Band - Neverending
“Never ending
Always
You will never end
Because
You're always
Never ending

You were
There before
There was beginning
Always
You were
You are never ending

Here you are now
With us here
We are found
In You

And this makes all
the difference
This changes everything
Making our
whole existence
Worth something

And You make all
the difference
Yeah, You change
everything
You make our
whole existence
Worth something…”

Catch my prayer's lovely ladies!

Very late posting tonight, but I have been swamped with so much lately. My guys go back to school on Tuesday, you can't see me but I am doing the happy dance. I didn't use to do it in front of them, but now that they are older I do. :-)

Has anyone hear if Thumper has a grand entrance planned for tomorrow? I remember that first one, at this point it was like, ok I am tired of playing this game. you need to come on out here so we can play patty cake on the outside of my tummy, it will make both of us feel better. :-)
Praying for you Jodie.
Wendy sounds like the perfect ladies day. I got greeted at the end of my day with a dead black snake. Boys, why is it that the stinkier, grossiest, uglier, or repulsive something is, it only serves to attract them. HUM

Lori, I too highlighted the same verse. Yahweh Shammah. The LORD is there.

There. Here. With you. Wherever you are. Wherever you need Him to be. He will never leave us or forsake us. He is with you.

On my blog I gave a link to Mandisa's song, "He is with you". Powerful lyrics. I encourage you to check it out! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2WRjwgsOdo

I also love this verse in Saturday's reading: “…I alone am their special possession.” Ezekiel 44:28

Asking myself, do I see Him as my most special possession? Do I realize that nothing else I own or will ever acquire can even come close to being as valuable to me as He already is right now? He is my “pearl of great price”. Do I truly treasure Him as such? Do I hear Him saying as He did to the priests, “I alone am her special possession”?

It was 14 years ago today my son made a decision to ask the Lord to be his special possession. We are celebrating his spiritual birthday today and thanking the Lord for all He is doing in his life.

Lord, I am Your,
Joy
