Good Weekend to you Bloggy Friends.
This is the first weekend in a while that is not jam packed with events and other to-dos. Sigh and deep breath. My son has birthday party to attend today and during the party my daughter and I will have some girl hang time at the mall.
We have had much to celebrate this week: Susan and Joy's good news. Joy,I wish I could be there when your Daddy walks in through door. It makes me cry to think about it!
God is truly good and truly faithful. He has answered so many prayers for us all this year. Can you believe how close we are to being finished? I can't. I know I have said it before but it bears repeating: thanks for hanging in there with me, all of you, the commenters and the non-commenters. It has been quite a journey and just think we get to do it all over again next year.
Till Monday-

Yes, dear Wendy...what a week of celebrating it has been! I so love this journey we are taking together...
"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God" (Col 3:16). So, so thankful, Wendy for your teaching, and for each of you that share your wisdom by commenting, and just plain thankful in my heart at the moment! When we surround ourselves by God's family of believers, it is just so much easier to stay on the "straight and narrow path!"
I'm teaching a 'Family Life,' class this afternoon, and gearing up for our big celebration at church. It's an exciting time-we're celebrating with a huge festival, 50 years of God showing Himself to be faithful with our home church. We are going to look back at the milestones we have accomplished through Him, and anticipate our future! We believe the best is ahead of us! It's a big gathering that we've been looking forward to!
ENJOY the weekend dear friends! And, I must say once more... :)
THANK YOU for blessing my life!
Hugs, Lori - AZ
Blessed Sunday all. It's a beautiful fall day here in Ontario.
To get a kick start to Dad's homecoming, he came to church this morning. So wonderful to have mom and he sitting beside me. While we were singing the hymn, "What a Friend We Have in Jesus", my mom leaned over to get my attention. Dad was standing...and singing...he hasn't sung in months! My eyes all teared up as I saw him giving praise to His Heavenly Father. God has just done so much. Contrary to what I wrote last week, Dad now will not be coming home until October 31st. My mom just felt it would be easier to wait until the weekend when we'd all be available to help her with Dad's move back home. My sister is cooking a big turkey dinner and we're going to celebrate. We'll take lots of pics so I can share the moment with you all. Looking forward to cutting off the hospital band he has been wearing for almost 8 months!
Today the Lord took my attention with the following two verses: “Whose picture and title are stamped on it? Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar, and give to God what belongs to God.” Luke 20:24-25
The King James Version asks, whose "image" is on the coin? Genesis tells me that I am made in God’s image. The image of God is stamped on my heart. So, I need to give to God was is His…namely…me.
Lord, I belong to You. I need to give to You supremely, not just the minimum, but all of me. Father, bear Your image fully in me. Restore Your image in me to full Christ-likeness I pray.
Hugs to you all,
Joy
