Good morning GIGS, It has been some time since I have posted but today these scriptures really thrilled me. Wendy I needed July 8 scriptures yesterday so it is OK with me that you got mixed up. God knew what we needed and gave us that through you!! Today's reading (July 7) is awesome! I picked out the same scripture you had and just sat and marveled. I love Ps 92 and how good it is to give thanks to the Lord. One thing I am lacking not giving Him enough thanks for ALL He has done for me through my life. He does thrill me with all He has done for me - gives me cold chills just thinking about it! God has thrilled me lately by opening so many doors for me to participate in ministry that I feel He called me into in January. He and I get finished with one door and He opens another one for us to walk through. Another way He has thrilled me is getting to watch ladies grow in the Word and hear what God is speaking to them as we study Ephesians. I have had so much fun since January with God I cannot describe it all. But God is good and He definitely is the Rock I hide in. My to do is to rejoice daily and give God praise for Who He is and for all He has done for me.
I do have a prayer request - my 24 year old son needs to find a job, is not going to church like he used to and has begun to date a girl that does not go to church and has a child. Please pray that he will find the job God wants him to have, that he will come back to God and seek Him in decisions and guidance and that He will seek God in this relationship as to whether this is the girl for him. He has had several girls that have hurt him in the past 4 years - he is very giving and sweet and gives his heart away only to have it trampled on and I see it happening again. Pray for me also that my husband and I will guide him gently back to God's arms and help show him the way. Have a great day everyone and Praise God from whom all blessings flow! It was so neat to read through today and have little flags start waving in my head when I read a part that I remember Wendy talking about yesterday! I made all sorts of notes in my Bible about how 'future generations' means ME, etc. :-)
Besides Wendy's roadmap, what stood out to me today was the list in Psalm 104. It sounds like the author was just sitting and making a list of the many, many things that God has done and just being in awe of them. The cool thing is that it sounds just like my kids! When they say their prayers at night, or lately even a mealtime blessing, they thank God for their "fork and their cheese and their 'matoes' or their 'walls and their blanky and airplane and trucks and ...." I don't think I do that enough. I need to make more time to just sit and be thankful for the many things that God has done for me. There's lots!
That's something else that I noticed yesterday, I think about Michelle's post especially? There were SO MANY PRAISES! More prayer requests, of course, but lots of great things happening. He's working! :-)
Can I ask something? I'm rereading Joel Rosenberg's books and he states in there that Saddam Hussein claims to be descended from King Nebechenezzer (I Have no idea how to spell that). Does anybody know if that's true??
Wendy, how has He thrilled me lately? I think lately my most favorite thing is seeing how He works things out: how Brandee's John is changing, how my husband is changing, how a canner and event tickets were given to us when we could use them, how Kelly's cancer and Gabriel's cancer is gone ... when we can really see those things happening that we know we could not have done ... that's exciting. :-) (Being up so early this week, I see the sunrise each morning. That's pretty exciting, too! He's an amazing artist!)

Can you catch the excitment? We've been having 4:8 days, and today we are having a 92:2 day!
I was up early this AM, and did my devo's. Because I had a restless night, I crawled into bed for a few more minutes. My mind started to list the things for which I am thrilled about, and I felt the corners of my mouth turn up. Being thankful changes your countenance!
I am thrilled over many things. I love to take daily walks along an abandoned railway track, and it's so beautiful to see the changing scenery almost weekly. The new crop of "flowers" growing unattended along the path. Seeing the different butterflies (I counted 6 one day!), smelling the musky woodsy smell. Feeling the cool(er) air beneath the trees. The different song birds, the chipmunks, deer tracks, coon tracks, and the occassional harmless snake.
I'm thankful for sturdy legs that take me where I need to go, a neighbour who joined me on my walk yesterday. Refreshing water to quench my thirst. O, I can see it is going to be a wonderful day!
Can you imagine how this would sound to our Heavenly Father, as the world wakes up in each different time zone? The constant, continual sounds of praises being lifted upwards to Him? How exciting to be part of that!
This morning I will set aside my prayer list, and focus on the thrilling things the Lord has done and given to me!

Hi ya'll good to be "face to face" with everybody. I am on the mountain top sitting at my computer - how can that happen. It happens because I have all of you here with me, like a conference of godly women that I know and love. And I get to do it each morning.
I believe that it is so important to just praise the LORD without asking for everything, but naming all the things He supplies us with. Reading slowing stopping every two verses for Pslm 104 and making it personal would be a great way to start. "Be still and know that I am God" It is so hard for you young GIGs to do that, because of all the responsibilites you have. that is one of the many blessings that us "slightly older" :-) have. We get to slow down a little.
Jacque - you ask about my mother's name. Eleanor, and not Eliner. It was really one of the only things about her personally that she would correct anyone on. She said it kindly, but you knew.
94:23 is another verse that tells us that we don't have to get even with the evil. "God will turn their sins back on them." O LORD keep me from ever being evil so you would need to do that to me and mine.
I marked my Bible with 104:33 - 35. What a blessing that would be to have someone read that as life here on earth was lessoning and heavens gates were opening for me. I invite ya'll to come to be with me. Don't know the day or time yet, but I do long for it. That must be one of the blessings that God gives us as we mature. Oh girl no one is perfect, but maybe God knew some one needed these lessons turned around.
I am so thankful that God has been with me all through my life watching and keeping His hand on me, even though I made a lot of mistakes along the way.
I am so thankful for this home that He had a hand in so that we can live here, where each morning I see the sun rising, momma deer and fawn eating from the bird feeder, squirrels, racoons coming to our door in the early hours, and all the birds, I praise Him for loving and forgiving me. I am so blessed

Jesus thrills me every moment of every day, starting with blessings to be up and out of bed every morning. He trills me with his peace and love daily, with guiding me and revealing to me the areas in my heart that I have not yet let him in. He thrills me with his sightings daily to remind me that he is always there.

What a wonderful way to start the day praising Him. At church last night we split into prayer groups to pray for individual needs. I was given a paper with all the requests on the front. But on the back were all the praises and there were so many! It brought tears to my eyes. God is so good. Even in the bad economy, church members were blessed with new jobs, members were being healed, marriages repaired etc.
I also am reminded of all the answered prayer on the blog. I am keeping a praise list and it is amazing.
Psalm 99:6b They cried to the Lord for help and He answered them.
Psalm 100:5 For the Lord is good.
His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation.
And I love this verse! Psalm 100:3 He made us, and we are His. We are the sheep of His pasture.

I am thrilled that God has answered so many of my BIG prayers. Just recently he stopped a threat to my job, he allowed my ill sister to attend my daughter's wedding, he made that wedding a fairy tale, he brought my son a job and my daughter three upcoming job interviews, and he has provided financially for us through my husband's job, and overtime, to meet all our financial obligations. We are truly in a "harvest season" in our mid-fifties, and I am endlessly grateful to our Lord for everything He has done for us over the years to get us to this point.
God's creations which I observe in my yard, the woods, on my walks and drives all thrill me.
But a nugget that jumped out at me today made me stop and give a shout-out to Him that I don't do enough. Psalm 104:13-14
"..You fill the earth with the fruit of Your labor.
You cause grass to grow for the livestock and plants for people to use.
You allow them to produce food from the earth..."
I am thrilled at how God's people work together supplying food to each other. As I ate a yogurt this morning, I tried to think of and praise everyone involved in getting that yogurt to me: the cows eating God's grass, the farmer caring for the cows, the truck driver getting the milk to the factory, the factory workers,(in Minnesota, Rhonda :-) the bosses, the marketing people, the truck driver taking the yogurt to the store, and all the many people at the grocery store where I bought the yogurt. What a beautiful symphony of God's people working together. And I only had to pay 69 cents for that yogurt. Wow!

I am thrilled by the LORD when I need a scripture for someone (or me) & there it is! The Holy Spirit brings it through my reading, someone will mention a scripture or one comes to me as I pray for the right words for that person. I just love that! I am thrilled that I have a great & wonderful husband & children. I love seeing God working in & through them. I am thrilled that they all will be be saved (in God's time) & doing the work of the LORD. I am thrilled that Jesus died & rose in glory for me. Even through I am not worthy but through the blood of Jesus I am worthy to come to the throne! I am thrilled & thankful for Wendy & you all. You have helped me to get to know our Lord better.
Franny I love the visual of 'the world wakes up in each different time zone. The constant, continual sounds of praises being lifted upwards to Him.' Now that thrills me!

He has thrilled me lately in corporate worship in moving me to be more open, to be expressive (for me) and then to have my husband walk out of the service with me and say" was that just a terrific service". I am usually so concerned with others seeing me in worship that I have never really let go to worship.
My to do today: "Let all that I am praise the Lord, sing to the Lord, and praise my God to my last breath" Psalm 104: 1a, 33.
Love you all so much. I just feel as we share that I know you. Can't wait until that wonderful day when we meet face-to-face.

How has God thrilled me lately?
In so many things….This is truly what I need today, (right now)…. To continue to conquer Miss Negative!!!
*Through spending time with Him: When he said to me yesterday, “If only you would listen to his voice today! I did (His obedience) last night at 8:40 in the evening, when the sun was just starting to set and it has cooled off just a tad….I went for my last training run….I ran my second best time, 10 seconds short from by best. Oh what we can do through Him.
*My husband ….His love, hardworking, His great sense of humor, His faithfulness to His family. He is
doing the run with me on Saturday will be getting in Fri. night late…He continues to amaze me in all he
does. God put us together for a reason.
* our Best Gifts our sons…..watching them through their obedience in all that they are doing and growing
into, their hard work to do their best …to be the best they can be…. Yes….they do the run too. Last
year when the boys trained ….They and their father who (trying his hardest) to hold on to one more year
before them now start saying to Him (all in good humor) “We beat Yhea Dad!” It ended up Brady’s
baseball District game fell on the same day same time. He went to His game. Dillon came in shortly
behind Him. This yr. Brady has game again….Dillon I’m guessing will come in shortly behind Him again.
A great family togetherness…..Probably one of the biggest reason why I do it. Family time together.
*In my garden….the cross flower….feeling His presence there.
*All of YOU…….If you only ALL knew just how much God has spoke to Me through you.

I have seen articles stating that Saddam Hussein claimed to be a descendant of Nebuchadnezzar. But what's more interesting is he planned or maybe already started the plans to rebuild Babylon. This proves interesting because in Rev. 18 it talks about the destruction of an actual Babylon. I remember Chuck Missler talking about that in our lesson on Revelation. Interesting times, huh?
Thrills from God? Where do I even start?
* Jesus dying for my sins so I can go to heaven and be with Him
* God not leaving me the way I am but showing me where my heart is not right and gently turning it back to Him.
* Second, third, fourth, ten millionth chances
* Sister believers who walk, pray and help carry life's burdens
* Answered prayers in this blog alone.
* I am thrilled by the knowledge He is revealing to confirm the truth of the bible. Last night I was listening to Mark Biltz. He spoke about when Moses wrote the torah. In those days Moses used the Hebrew ancient picture words. As an example, the the picture word for YHWH:
Yud (hand)
Hey (revealed)
Waw or Vav (nail)
Hey (revealed)
So YHWH is "The hand revealed, nail revealed." Remind you of Someone?
What blows my mind is Moses wrote this thousands of years before Jesus even came into the picture. It just proves that the bible we are reading is God-breathed and God-touched. We can rely on the promises contained in it. Everything in the bible points to Jesus. What is more thrilling than that?

You definitaly challenged me to my thinking process today. I too am going to try to spend tonight with my head on my pillow thanking God for the things he has done and given me. I believe you are so right it would be a good way to fall asleep. We have so much to be thankful for if we only stop to intentionally think about it.
He thrills me each day to know he takes care of our every need. When things seem out of control HE is in control. How awesome that is to me.

These last two days have been filled with encouraging words. What a joy it is to sing praises to the Most High.
I am thrilled that I can spend every morning reading His word and learning so much. Until I started this study I must admit I really didn’t spend much time doing devotions or seeking God through prayer. It was hit and miss. I didn't make it a priority. Now I’m faithful every morning and the Most High is faithful to meet with me. I’m thrilled God has provided additional side work for my husband. I’m thrilled God has provided my college student with a summer job of 45-50 hours. On his last day of finals he still didn’t know what he was going to do for the summer. We told him not to worry about the job and just focus on the finals because Dad and I are praying for a job. On our 6 hour drive to pick him up someone called and said they could keep him busy for the summer. God’s perfect timing ~ Praise the Lord!
When our kids were little, as a family, we memorized Psalm 100 and all said it together as a prayer for our Sunday dinner. They are grown now and we don’t have too many Sunday dinners together. But when we do they request to pray Psalm 100. The two spouses have memorized it with us.
Now, I am just rambling and usually don’t say much anyway. I have not been given the gift of socializing.

In my personal prayers, he has answered them beyond my expectations. Michelle in New England, That was a beautiful verse. The rippling of the water in the river and creek are praises to Him. It is very peaceful at our campground....so many people tell us. It is hard work, but thanks to the Lord we have it. You can hear the wind in the trees, the crickets at night...they get very loud w/o any other sounds. :) All are praises to the great Creator. We really enjoy the churches that come to our campground. We also have an outdoor chapel pavilion, and there have been young people who have made decisions for Christ. It makes it all worth the hard work and sweat. We had a TREMENDOUS flood on May 1-2nd. We had 30+ feet of water over the campground an in the bathhouse. Someone had placed a little cross that said 'He is Risen' by the chapel at Easter. There were 6 big campers floated across our field in this flood and dropped into the creek. But when the water went down, that little cross was still standing. But then His cross is still standing, too...for anyone who will kneel at the foot of it for encouragement, restoration and even new life!
I don't always get to read your comments every day, and since we are so far out in the country haven't been able to view Wendy's blog...but by the middle of next week we will have high speed satellite internet connection through Wild Blue, and THEN I CAN WATCH WENDY EVERY DAY!!!! I feel like I have missed so much this year, though I have managed to keep up with my reading, and I bought Jon Courson's commentaries that have helped tremendously... when I can get time to read them.
Wendy, I do hope the Lord leads you to keep doing this next year. You, and everyone's replies are such a blessing.
Still praying for everyone's husbands, wives, and children who need the Lord, and all the prayer requests.

Had to share--two of my kids are staying at my sister's this week. She was telling me that my son and her son were up late talking, and she told them they should get to bed. My son said, "but we're praying!" She was very impressed. The weather had been bad, and the next day it was clear enough to go to their beloved water park. She couldn't believe it, and they told her they had been asking God for a small break in weather so they could go! They were praising him for answering prayer, and that is what thrills me today!

I had a nice dinner out with a friend tonight, and on the drive home caught part of a Dr. McGee sermon. It prompted me to peek ahead to Thessalonians 5:16-18.
"Always be joyful. Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you who belong to Jesus Christ." Good stuff!
