Too pooped to post...smile
This was by far the most incredible moment of the entire conference for me.
My first Claire hug. We were right in the middle of the corridor on the main hall at She Speaks but it did not matter to us. I know its blurry but its beautiful to me.
Another picture of me and sweet Claire.

Wendy I'm so glad you all had a blessed time at She Speaks. What a sweet time you had meeting Clair. Your story of meeting her almost brought tears to my eyes. We do have a special community of friends through this blog and I'm so grateful for friends like you all who care about each other. Wendy in my post on Saturday I had said that I'm always amazed when I feel like the people who care about me the most and who I feel are real friends are the ones who I've never met but who I communicate with through this blog or email.
Lori, Rhonda, Michelle in N.E., Michelle in VA, Grace and Peace, Dixie, Teeny, Jaque, Amy, Donna, Morgan, And the rest of you all whose names I can't think of at the moment, forgive me, I thank you so much and I love you all. Whenever I read a prayer request I SAP right then.
Sending you all a big HUG!!!
Lori thank you for encouraging me to post back when we did the Joshua challenge. Thank you for being an encouraging friend.
I still have to do today's reading. Sunday was a tiring day for me. I was out most of the day on Saturday with neighbors doing a yard sale and my arms are still sore from getting a sun burn.
Praying for you all.
Welcome back, Wendy (and Lori!)
I almost did the ugly cry too as I was listening to your story about Baby Claire and seeing the pictures. Thank you so much for sharing. I'm glad Joyful made it there too and you finally met her. I miss her daily posts.
Amen to what Jennifer Renee posted above. I love this group and thankful to God for bringing me here, too.
Michelle fr NE. Thanks for your post on Sunday and for sharing that beutiful poem. You're heading out on your vacation soon, right? We will miss you!
Jacque, praise GOD for the work He continues to do in Michael's life. Finally, there is hope!
I was able to read today's reading but not done with the commentary yet. Here's what I have so far from Jon Courson:
"Habakkuk means wrestler...In chapter 1 we'll see him wondering and wrestling. In chapter 2, we'll see him watching & waiting. In chapter 3, we'll see him worshiping & whispering. In chapter 1, he begins in the valley. In chapter 2, he'll climb into the tower. In chapter 3, he ascends to the mountain. In chapter 1, he sighs. In chapter 2, he'll seek. In chapter 3, he'll sing. Thus this book that bears his name is a great book for any of us, who at any time wonder, "Where is God?"(p.857, Jon Courson's Application Commentary, OT, vol. 2)
Ok, let me add this too fr HABAKUK 2:1
"I need an answer" said Habakkuk "so I'm going up into my tower to seek my Father." Pls note the 3 components of this verse;
"1. His determination. He said "I will stand upon my watch" not "Maybe I should spend some time w the Lord next week - or when it's convenient - or when I can break away from work - if I find some time." No he said "I need an answer and I'm determined to get one. I will seek the Lord."
"2. His isolation. He got away from all the distractions that would otherwise bombard him. (Ok, this is me speaking now: Lori can attest to this!) If you really want to hear from the Lord, there is no alternative to a quiet time, a quiet place and a quiet heart.
"3. His expectation. He said "I will see what the Lord will say to me" not "what he might say to me," not "what I hope he will say to me"....If you don't believe God is going to speak to you and deal with you, you're not going to hear anything from Him....those who expect to hear from God have pencil and paper in hand. They are on the edge of their chair or on their knees in a posture of expectancy rather than a spirit of complacency & lethargy. (pp. 858-859)
That's all for now folks. Have a blessed day, FIGS!
Welcome back, Wendy! What a beautiful testimony to your weekend-- God's Spirit was at work! Such a happy story about Claire, a precious child.
I just want to thank you all for the way you share your insights about our readings! Along with Wendy's daily teachings, you each offer your gifts-- some of you research commentaries to enrich, some of you dig for definitions to open our minds, some of you memorize and make connections, some are discerners and find practical applications, some bring your deep wisdom and experience, some offer your special prayers and beautiful creative words. You know who you are-- you all just make the daily readings blossom with life! Thank you too for allowing me to pray for your needs.
I was drawn to Habakkuk 3:17-18 and felt the need to claim it.
"Even though I am anxious about our son, and I can't sleep, even though my body aches, and I can't keep up with my obligations, even though I don't know the future of my job, and I don't know how we will pay all these bills, even though, even though, even though-- yet I will REJOICE in the LORD! I will be JOYFUL in the God of my salvation!"
Really, friends, as I tried to list all the struggles that would make my life sound really BAD... (waaaa waaaa), I realized that my life is so full! I guess it was an exercise in counting my blessings-- backwards! And it made me grateful for so many things in my life! Yes I will rejoice and be joyful!
Have a blessed day!
Jacque
Wendy - I'm so glad you've returned safely and were so blessed at the conference. What a great story & pictures about Claire! Can someone repost the link to her story? It is on Caring Bridge, right?
G&P - Thank you for the commentary words this morning. Those were really powerful. Two things really struck me this morning about the reading. The first was just a tiny bit out of Hab. 1:11 "for their own strength is their god.” I'm reading this thinking, well, at least our society doesn't worship all of these strange OT gods; but really, haven't we just replaced them with more "current" things that we worship? I know that I am very guilty of relying on my own strength and being so stubborn. It is new for me to think of that as worshiping other gods. Need to work on that one! The second verse that struck me and I found to be comforting is Hab. 3:19 - "The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer,
able to tread upon the heights."
May we all rest in God's strength with whatever we may be facing today.
Have a great day, GIGs.

Good Morning Ladies!
This is my first real post, but I just wanted to tell Wendy Welcome Back and thanks for such a touching story about little Claire! It brought tears to my eyes and warmed my heart to hear it!
The verse that spoke to me from today's reading was Zephaniah 2:3
"Seek the Lord, all who are humble,
and follow his commands.
Seek to do what is right
and to live humbly.
Perhaps even yet the Lord will protect you—
protect you from his anger on that day of destruction."
It is just so awesome to me that even inthe midst of His anger and promise of judgement and destruction that the Lord still loves us SO much that he continues to call us to repent and be saved. Time and time again He calls to us and never gives up. He is desperate for a relationship with us, if only we would turn to Him.
Thanks, everyone for all of your posts and commentary. I have been reading for a little over a week now and really feel blessed to have found this blog and this great group of women!
In Him,
Kristie
What a great way to start Monday..with a precious picture of Claire and the story of her meeting "her Wendy"....beautiful!
Kate - I underlined the same verse as you..."for their own STRENGTH is their god".....how many of us struggle with that? I think if we are honest, most of us rely on ourselves first, before we fail and then ask God to help. There are lots of idols and gods today. Just because they look different than the figurines or statues from back then doesn't mean that they aren't as evil and worthless today.
Help us with our unbelief, Lord. Amen.
Praising Him!
Morgen
Good Morning, Ladies!
What a beautiful morning! Thank You, Lord, for the quickening power of Your Word in all of us! We claim and believe that You are energizing Your word so that it will not return to You empty but will accomplish what You desire and achieve the purpose for which You sent it. Please take the words we read and sow them deep into our otherwise deceptive heart and subconscious mind. Thank You, Lord
So many things stuck out as I read! Habakkuk 1:5 Look around at the nations; look and be amazed! For I am doing something in your own day, something you wouldn't believe even if someone told you about it!
I find myself "complaining" about the ways of the world and how crazy this life is....(negative thoughts) Instead, Lord, give us strength and faith to live in awe of You, Lord! He doesn't tell us because we wouldn't believe anyways.
Love believes all things and hopes all things! 1 Corin 13:7 God is love. God believes all things and hopes all things! With God ALL things are possible! Let's focus our thoughts on God and ALL HE CAN DO
Habakkuk 3:16 I will wait quietly for the coming day even when disaster will strike the people who invade us...Even though, Even though, Even though! Jacque, you said it best! We can choose to focus on our even thoughs in life or we can choose to think on ALL God believes in and Hopes in!
I will rejoice in the Lord. I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign Lord is my strength. He makes us surefooted as a deer and able to tread upon the heights!
Reading that verse led me to James 1:2, when trouble comes your way (even thoughs), consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow! So LET it grow....
The word LET gets me every time! Let means to leave, relinqiush, abandon, to consider, to think, to allow to be used for a compensation, to give, grant or assign! We must LET our faith grow through enduring in our trials! We have the choice to let it grow or not! May we be strong in the Lord and in His might powers! May we have the faith to see all that He is doing in our days! May we live in awe of Him!
Have a blessed day, Ladies, as we live in awe of all God is doing in our lives! Glory be to God!
In Him,
Bethany
Sweet Wendy, I could not wait to see your face this morning after, "She Speaks."
‘Too pooped to post’ -you are so funny! What a glorious God Moment you shared with us – thank you! Each morning, we are blessed by God’s Spirit flowing out of your mouth– you, my sweet friend renew us each morning and continue to spoil us day after day! I treasure this group here – where I am able to freely share my heart and His goodness! Each person bringing a nugget and more of His wisdom to soak up! Ya know – it truly IS God’s way – for all of His little children to be talking about His Holy Word with each other, studying It, and praising Him and thanking Him, all day long!
I noticed that Habakkuk is full of questions, just as I am at times! Why do I have to know the answers when, deep down in my heart I know our Sovereign LORD is at work! Our God, - the Creator of Heavens and Earth, will always bring about His perfect way. The people did not know it at the time, but the suffering of Jerusalem was ordered for judgment…(but eventually) for correction. All around us we see people getting away with evil, but we do not know all of the facts. Who am I to express or even question why something happens the way it does? We know that the faithful will be rewarded. “But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God” (Hab. 2:4). “The righteous will live by faith” (Romans 1:17). “The righteous will live by faith” (Gal. 3:11). “But my righteous one will live by faith” (Heb.10:38).
“Rays of light flash from his hands, where his awesome power is hidden”
Habakkuk (3:4). “I will rejoice in the LORD!” (18). [no matter what my situation is!] “The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, and able to tread upon the heights” (19). Dear sisters’, let’s keep our eyes focused on Him, - We are filled with His Holy Spirit and this makes us invincible! His love is forever – and ever! Thank you, Lord! Thank you for this lovely group of ladies, too! I love you all – dearly!
Have a blessed day sweet GIG! Lori
Good morning, GIGs,
Welcome Kristie, so good to have you join us.
G&P, I WILL have computer access on my vacation next week. Thank goodness. I was so bummed Friday when Wendy's vlog wouldn't post that I can't imagine going a whole week without her sweet words!!
Jacque, remember Wendy's teaching from a week or so ago on, "but God"? Yes, you are facing many trials that are testing your faith and perseverance, BUT GOD will provide what you need.
Jen Ren, a big HUG back atcha! I hope that sunburn soon stops aching!
Stephanie, where are you and how is Kailyn doing? And Amber, how about Baby Boy Matthews?
Jessica, did you have a good time with your cherubs at Sunday School yesterday?
Kelly, could you give us an update on your skin cancer surgery. Is it behind you or ahead of you?
Friends, I have to admit I have found the reading over the last few days to be repetitive and uninspiring. Yesterday I even flipped ahead to see how long before we get to the New Testament! It just seems a bit "over kill" to me right now!
Did anyone read today's Proverbs 31 devotion? It was about depending on His grace rather than our own strength, or goodness, or righteousness, or operating out of fear. I know in the past I certainly have been guilty of doing good so I will have a good "reputation". But as my walk with the Lord gets stronger, my motives feel different - most of the time, anyway. I'll be pondering this today, and examining my heart on this one. Thank you, Lord, for giving me (as G&P said so beautifully today) "a quiet time, a quiet place and a quiet heart" while I wait to hear from the Lord.
Peace and Gratitude,
Michelle in New England

Dear Ones,
I haven't had time to watch the vlog yet, but I am intregued by the pictures and the comments. The pictures are sweet and the comments lead me to believe I should have hanky handy when I am able to watch. Welcome Back Wendy and Lori!
Jacque, Kate, Bethany and Lori, you really captured and enhanced Habakkuk 3:17-19. I loved what you wrote. I also found myself resting in Habakkuk 3, but I focused on the verses that displayed God's majesty and glory:
3b His brilliant splendor fills the heavens,
and the earth is filled with his praise.
4 His coming is as brilliant as the sunrise.
Rays of light flash from his hands,
where his awesome power is hidden...
8 Was it in anger, Lord, that you struck the rivers
and parted the sea?
Were you displeased with them?
No, you were sending your chariots of salvation!
9 You brandished your bow
and your quiver of arrows.
You split open the earth with flowing rivers.
10 The mountains watched and trembled.
Onward swept the raging waters.
The mighty deep cried out,
lifting its hands to the Lord.
11 The sun and moon stood still in the sky
as your brilliant arrows flew
and your glittering spear flashed.
13 You went out to rescue your chosen people,
to save your anointed ones.
How it gives me comfort in the darkness, despair, and fear that accompanies these images of the last days, that He will come looking for me. He will come to rescue and save me. He will be visible for all to see. His power and His might will strike fear in the hearts of men, but He will redeem me. I just have to turn to Him in all things, not just when things have gone south. I just need to call His name, continually turn to Him, and be ready and Grace and Peace said "with pencil and paper in hand" and ready and willing to follow His instruction.
Thank you all for filling me today. I admit, I started the day on the empty side of things, but I read, prayed, turned my troubles over to God, and then was blessed with a few minutes to read your comments, and I am filled.
Karen, Basel
Wendy, It is so good to have you back! And what special friendships you are creating with this blog. The pictures of Claire are precious!
Habakkuk 2:4 Look at the proud!
They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked.
But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God.
There is that word “But” again. It jumped off the page at me since I have been feeling a bit sorry for myself lately. I need to live by faith and not by my own understanding. God is in control, not me. That truly spoke to me today. And I love what Lori wrote yesterday about having a positive attitude. That it is the difference between contentment and discontentment. If we truly believe that God is in control and works for our good, then how can we not give Him all the praise all the time, in every situation?
I need to climb up to my watchtower and stand at my guard post. Haven’t I seen prayer fulfilled time and time again? God is so awesome!
Thanks for your prayers. I am seeing the doctor and care team on Wednesday and will find out when I can have surgery.
Linda
Welcome back Wendy, love your tender heart. Happy that we all got to meet little Claire.
Wendy, you are beautiful even with your precious cry-face. While hearing about your time with Claire, I was also having a cry-face as tears rolled down my cheeks. Giving you a Big Hug ((((OOOO)))
Linda, praying for your Wed. appt. and God's perfect timing for surgery and treatment.
G&P, Morgen, Kate, Bethany, Lori, Michelle each of your posts gave new insight on the scriptures. Thank you for digging so deep.
Diana, the youtube didn't work for me, please send it again for Friday's vlog.
G&P: A quiet time, a quiet place, a quiet heart to seek Him and pray for each of your requests & thank Him for you all.
Teeny
Umm, GIGs. I just want to make sure that you all know that the words I quoted on my post were Jon Courson's. As much as I'd like to take credit for them, I can't. The insights are purely his - or if you ask him maybe he'll say it's the Holy Spirit's. I'm just one of the fingertips on the keyboard in the body of Christ.
To prevent confusion in the future I researched (finally!) how to do html codes. Commentaries will appear italicized from now on like this:
testing to see if this works
In today's reading I noticed Habakkuk 2:4b The just shall live by faith. This verse is what prompted Martin Luther to the Reformation. It's so easy to bypass it but I'm glad he took the time to read and digest the Word. Look what happened!
Michelle - so glad you can still join us on your vacation!
Have a blessed day everyone!
Thank you Wendy for sharing your heart and that beautiful story of Claire. So glad the conference went well and you are back home safely.
I must echo your sentiments on how special this study and this group are. Even though I am not able to really keep up with reading everyone's posts daily, I do keep up with the reading and vlog, reading posts when I can. This online community means so much to me since I feel quite lonely in my Christian walk (unsaved husband and we recently moved to a new town where I'm just starting to find a new church but haven't yet many Christians) and sometimes feeling the overwhelming challenges of trying to instill my faith in our 2 young sons in the midst of the mixed messages they receive at home.
Just to know this group is here, that there is a community of believers to study with, pray with, fellowship with - means the world to me.
My nugget for today, came from Habakkuk's faith despite the destruction around him and the lack of visible evidence that God was working.
Hab 3:17-19 - Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, even though the olive crop fails....yet I will rejoice in the Lord! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!
And God's reply to Habakkuk's complaint: "If it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surely take place. It will not be delayed." Hab 2:3
These verses give me hope to keep going despite the lack of visible changes in difficult situations in my life (husband's unbelief, my 5 yr old son's resistance to going to church with me). I know God is at work, even though my circumstances would suggest otherwise. I will not be discouraged, because I know my Father in heaven is at work!
"The Sovereign Lord is my strength!" Hab 3:19
Have a blessed day, FIGs!
Jodi
Wendy...so glad you had such a sweet and special time this weekend. How touching to meet some of our special friends, especially Claire...Keeping you all in my prayers.
G&P...Thank you for always sharing the Courson commentary...it really helps
2 passages jumped out at me...Hab 2:3-4...especially.."if it seems slow in coming, wait patiently, for it will surly take place. It will not be delayed" (all things in God's timing)
"They trust in themselves and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God" I forgot who mentioned that it was this verse that Martin Luther held on to in the Reformation...Pastor spoke yesterday about how in the US we do not mention the Reformation but in places in Europe like Macedonia they celebrate it.
The second verse is Zep 1:5b.."They claim to follow the LORD, but then they worship Molech, too" I claim to follow the LORD, but do I have idols that I also worship...??? I am praying about that...
Have a wonderful and bless day...Wendy...Hope you got lots of sleep..

Hi -ya'll. I agree about this reading - I want to say "I get it LORD" can we move to something else. But they didin't get it. Also these were not all the same time to the same people. Reading some of the psalms now sure does help me to get a refreshing "drink" of God's blessings with all this. But isn't God great that He warns them and then if they repent it forgives them. That is the main lesson from today for me. And then our LORD doesn't even remember them any more. Our book is clean - That thought makes my blood pressure go up, how exciting - I want to be able to do that.
Jen Re - I would love to know more about you. Are you close to me in miles? or close to someone that I know? my email address is doweston40@att.net.
I thought Wendy looked just beautiful this morning. And this group is beyond - beyond description - of love -concerns- sisterhood. Thank you LORD for this gift of internet. Words fail me in writing about this. (ya'll didn't think that could happen :-)
Welcome Kristi. this is a wonderful experience.

The enemy must have been at work this morning! When I hit the publish button,I lost my whole post and now the computer isn't working right. So, I am now on my phone to try again! Words can not express the feeling of overwhelming love I had in my heart as I watched our Wendy drop to her knees, scoop up my baby Claire and embrace her with such tender love! Tears were flowing! Girls,Wendy is one special lady! It was an honor & privilege to meet her I am so grateful God has brought us together. I am also so thankful for God's work being done here in the comment section. Your words bless me. Wendy,I have never experienced a moment like the one we shared at the cross! Just you,me & Jesus! So powerful! Thank you doesn't seem like enough to say. I love you, girlfriend and give you my deepest heartfelt gratitude. I am still "ugly cry" puffy! It was an amazing weekend. You are amazing and our God is AMAZING! My first post was so much better! PS. So nice to meet you Jodi, you are a beautiful girl!
Wendy, forgot to tell you,Claire heard the vlog and said "is Wendy talking to me?" "Is that my Wendy?" Then she pointed to your beautiful picture at the corner of the blog and asked"Is that God?" I said yes.( Because we see God in you). She said "Can I hug God?" I think we have! I can't post the direct link from this phone but the address is www.carepages.com then type in babyclairespage. Maybe someone else could post the direct link? Thanks :)
Diane, Texas - thanks for the Friday link. I hated missing that because the reading was so rich.
Wendy, thanks for sharing about Claire. Enjoy time with family.

Hi, Baby Claire!
Dear Wendy and Tina,
Okay, I am home from work and I watch the Vlog... sniff. Tina, your post above is so lovely! Grace and Peace, thanks again as always you come through! Jodi, You have a full plate. I am keeping you in my prayers and I am so happy to see your "John Hancock" when you are able to post.
Each of you who mention that you are sorry you post infrequently, and then go on to explain why, really, you need to be okay with it! I know I am speaking for everyone here to say this in not supposed to be an obligation or anything remotely like that. Sometimes we are in need of being filled. Sometimes we have nothing to say. Sometimes it would only ruin it because someone else has shared so eloquently and all we can add is AMEN! Sometimes we need to unburden our hearts. Sometimes we need just to share a prayer or a cyber hug. I agree Wendy and LORD, the internet is a blessing! Who Knew!
Jodi, I still have not found a church here and I passed the one year mark in Switzerland yesterday. Today I was bowed before God asking what? where? with whom? and I felt Him tell me, it is okay, I have given you a community for now. More will come. Just be faithful; learn from me and from these others here.
When we look at this cyber body of Christ, we see the parts coming together to make a whole. I think it was Jacque (but sorry if it was someone else) who said some pray, some dig, some share a verse, some personalize, some show relevance, some remember everyone and everyone's needs; we make a whole. And in the center is LOVE.
Thank you Wendy and every person here for your presence and your faithfulness. You are loved, accepted, and celebrated here.
-Peace

G&P, thank you to the link to Claire's pages.
I have an update on Ryan, the young man with Down's Syndrome who had surgery last week for testicular cancer. Blood tests reveal that the cancer may also be elsewhere, so they are moving up plans for chemo.
Teeny, here is a prayer for your daughter Sarah as she prepares for her breast cancer surgery this Wednesday. This prayer was written by Rev. Robert Schuller:
FILL ME WITH YOUR SPIRIT
O Father,
As the wistful breezes stir the air
So stir my heart and fill my life with your loving spirit.
Reach down and touch my life with yours.
Breathe your spirit into my soul.
Then...
When all I see is despair,
I will gain new hope.
When struggles or hurts assail me,
I will receive new faith.
When tensions and worries abound,
I will be bathed in your peace.
When all hope seems lost,
bright ideas will come.
So it is no wonder that I come,
With praise and thankfulness
I rejoice in the assurance that even now,
You are leading me, and I am
Inspired by your Holy Spirit.
In Jesus' name, Amen
Peace and Gratitude,
Michelle in New England
That's beautiful Michelle,
Thank you for sharing. I am praying for Ryan too.
Father, keep your child Ryan; He is under Your wing. You, in Your infinite wisdom, will make it right for Ryan. You will never leave him nor forsake him. You will show your face to him and you will calm his fears. You are mighty to save! You take great delight in (Ryan), You will calm him with Your love. You rejoice over him with singing (Zeph. 3:17). Thank you Lord, for showering your love upon Ryan. Keep him in Your tender care and if it be your will, heal his body.
Amen
Michelle, thank you for the prayer for Sarah. I have copied it and emailed it to her. Am planning on driving to Greensboro on Sunday to help.
Diana, thank you for the site and I copied it as you told me and it worked! Hate to miss Wendy's face-to-face.
Blessings
Teeny
Popping in to say, thank you to each one of you! Your posts truly bless me...and I have to say, ditto and AMEN to what sweet Karen wrote! I totally agree - just could never put it to words as she did so perfectly! LOVE you all!
hugs, lori
Hi All…..I am still here with each and everyone of you…..prayers always goes up for all. Just know you are all so very dear to me. I am A LOT POOPED like you Wendy. Wendy so special you and Claire…very touching….tear forming. God truly is wonderful. So many wonderful comments from you all today. Jennifer Renee your loved by lots. Welcome Kristie!! Karen really appreciate your comment……Each of you who mention that you are sorry you post infrequently, and then go on to explain why, really, you need to be okay with it! I agree.
My bible verse ….ooooh, I don’t know how to explain all what is inside of me today. Lori….You might want to take a seat…..please don’t hold your breath…breathe….breathe….breathe…I had to and find myself still trying to. Happy tears were wiped….anxiousness and disbelief are still in me….heart racing… God is so good ooooh so good to Us! No Lori with 2 teenage sons there is really never a dull moment at our house….(this summer anyway). My life has been on a fast track lately with some unexpected aaaawh….. I don’t know how to say it all. Still trying to process what came in the mail today for our son Brady. He has been wanting to go to some baseball camps on pitching….well he received in the mail a flyer on coast -to-coast baseball with tryout for the team and also a hitting camp. We figured okay we would give it a try…see where he was at in his ability…and a future for Him in this sport he so loves. ….Tryouts????? We said to ourselves….and we told him not too many will make this team they told us 1 out of 9 trying-out would make it….so basically we just wanted to see where he was and what he needed to work on to improve. A week and a half now has gone by since this tryout….Today a big envelope came…I told Brady as I was walking up to Him it came. He asked if it was a Big letter. Yes ladies it was in a big envelope….We opened it. Here it is ladies. He made this team….(He received the Coast to Coast baseball Acceptance Package). He is invited to either the opportunity to go play in Puerto Rico for a week on the USA team, or Go to 2 different camps one in Florida Camp & Showcase or Arizona Camp & showcase. At these there are Daily workouts with top college coaches and pro scouts, college Recruiting Process, Off-season Conditoning & Strength -training….and a lot more.
My thoughts today….We like to tell Him so much where his strength comes from and to take God with you where ever you go……..to do what is right in this world/humbly…..Brady from your Mom today…..Here the Lord whisper His sweet words into your vocabulary always: Then the LORD said to Brady…. “Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner/ (baseball player) can carry the “correct message” to others. This vision is for future time. God Bless You our Son!!
Today in some of my quiet time I was asked this question: “What promises of God are being fulfilled in my life at this time? “WOW….oooh WOW!!!!”
This is my bible verse for today.
Habakkuk 2:2
Then the LORD said to me,
“Write my answer plainly on tablets, so that a runner can carry the correct message to others…..This vision is for a future time.
Faithfulness to God….
Dear Lord, help us to worry not so much about being successful for you but about being faithful to you.

Jodi,
I know what you're going thru with being married to someone who is not yet walking w the Lord. Hang in there, sister God is not done with him yet. Keep praying and obeying God's promptings.
Rhonda,
I don't know anything about baseball but it sounds like a big deal, so CONGRATULATIONS TO BRADY! What an honor!
G&P, I'm envious of your new skill at bold and italics, ha ha ha! I will have to be content with capitalizing to say to Rhonda ---CONGRATULATIONS, BASEBALL MOM EXTRAORDINAIRE!!!!! You and his dad are the wind beneath his wings! What an achievement for all of you, with the glory to God!Amen!
Sweet dreams, sister!!
Peace and Gratitude,
Michelle in New England
Hi all - I just lost my longest comment ever :-( That's what I get for trying to preview I guess.
Wendy - welcome back and I am so happy the conference was a success. It touched my heart to see you and Claire hugging. I am going to her page when I finish this post.
Several passages spoke to me (as usual) but I picked one I don't think I saw any comments on yet. Hab 3:2
I have heard all about you, Lord
I am filled with awe by your amazing works.
In this time of our deep need,
help us again as you did in years gone by.
And in your anger,
remember your mercy.
I am forever thankul that He helps us again and again and again. This blog has been such a blessing to me and has helped me tremendously to see His amazing works and I am in AWE daily.
Michele - thank you so much for asking about my skin cancer. I actually had a dermatologist appt today and all 4 biospsies came back pre-cancer - NO CANCER returned. My doctor will continue to monitor me every 3 months for a year or so then move to 6 months. I am claiming my complete healing with no recurrence!!! Prayer does work!
To proud momma Rhonda - so excited for Brady - please keep us posted.
Well, I am going to post without preview and hope it goes through. Apologizing in advance for any typos :-)
oh yea Michele - I am home grown New Englander myself. I was born and raised in Windsor Locks, CT and lived in Providence for about 11 years before migrating down here to GA.
Blessings to all
Kelly
Hey y'all! Wendy! Welcome home! I so missed seeing you and the other gals this year! Thank you for the beautiful pics of Claire and your story! So glad that you finally met Joy! She is just a wonderful and precious sister in Christ! I met her 2 yrs ago at SS. And,you got to meet Danielle!
Rhonda, so excited about your son's opportunity! Awesome!
Karen, are you close to Black Forest in Germany? If not, remember that I am directionally challenged!!! If so, a very good friend of mine--who is a missionary--lives there with her family. I was telling her about this Bible study the other day at lunch. They are returning to Germany tonight after 3 months here in the states. She would love to meet you!
Girls, I am bogged down as well in the readings. I did love the Josiah reading over the weekend. Many truths to take to heart.
It's late, and I have been on the computer all day working on wedding editing. Please remind me not to accept any more wedding shoots(after the one coming up this weekend!!! Mercy!). I am sticking with children and families unless God tells me otherwise.
Love to all of you!
Susan
Hey GIG,
I am so excited to be sharing with you again as it has been so long and soooooo much going on in my life just as with each of you. I got behind in my readings and just today, I AM CAUGHT UP. However, I know in my heart that God wanted me behind as I needed what I read when I read it. I have done a lot of rejoicing and a lot of shedding tears.
Wow!!! Kelly and Kristi are new GIG since I last wrote.
Wendy Pope, you are my nugget for today!!! As every day, you are a Godsend to each of us. MY CUP RUNNETH OVER in all that you have given of yourself for the Lord's Kingdom. We are, as you and others have commented, so blessed to have this community of believers with whom we can share His love, His mercy, and His grace...whether we have time to write or whether we just get to watch you Face to Face. You bring us Face to Face with our Heavenly Father each day. What a blessing to our lives. As Prov. 11:25 states: "A generous man (Wendy) will prosper; he(she) who refreshes others will himself (herself) be refreshed." You refresh us every day with something so special from His Word. I thank my God for you, Wendy Pope. ;)
Jacque and Bethany: Even though.....I was behind....yet have I rejoiced in the LORD.
Kate, He has been my strength and I have rested in it since Dec. and Kelly, He has helped me again and again and again as you stated what you got from Hab. 3:2
Kristie, I had missed underlining Zeph. 2:3 until I read your post, and I realized that He too has protected my daughter and her unborn son, Will, for the last month as she has had an MRI,a lumbar puncture, and several vision tests as her neurologist has diagnosed her with Optic Neuritis. I have read that the tests are to (prayfully) rule out MS in her situation. God has been her and Will's protection!!! Thank you, Kristie, for bringing that verse to me. I have "seeked Him" and He has been so very real to me in all of this.
G&P: where would we be without your guidance, knowledge, and passion for God's Word. You're still there for me just as in the beginning. ;) I love me some Jon Courson. (Tell me again what volume you have) As JC has stated: I have wondered and wrestled these past 2 months; I have watched and waited ( for His comfort and peace in being alone with Him and His Word; and I have worshipped and whispered as I am expecting Him, trusting Him, having faith in Him that Laura and whatever is in her future is in His Hands as Lori brought out Hab. 3:4 for me: "...flash from His Hands where His awesome power is hidden." Jer. 1:5
Jodi, I have felt your aloneness and I've been a church for 30 yrs., but no one to share with as I do in this body of believers in this study.
And believe me, Girlfriends, I have had church tonight with ya'll!!!!!!! Halleluia and praise the Lord for He is faithful and just. This time with you has been a true Godtime!!!
In the shouting mode,
