My Take Aways
Something Old:
Sometimes our assignments from God is a "stinky" but necessary one. Even in during the toughest assignments He will take care of us and will be our everlasting portion when we grow weary.
Something New:
In the midst of the tough assignments from God, it is easy to become discouraged and wrongly influenced by the very people we are trying to influence.
Something to Do:
Take the complaints and questions to the department Chairperson. He will help me defuse and discern the right and wrong of it all.
Power verses for the weary warriors:
"My flesh and my hear may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."
Psalm 73:26 "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."

Dear Ones,
So much to celebrate over the weekend! Congratulations on the job Elizabeth! May God go with you to this new place! Brandee, I prayed for John. Please let us know how the meeting went! Jacque, I hope Michael's weekend at home was a good re-entry. Keep your strength, you are doing a good work! Dixie, Linda, and all who need God's healing hand in their lives, I have prayed for you too.
Today I admit I was dry... I underlined passages, and then I went back and looked at what I underlined, and they spoke a message to me. Many of them have already been so graciously spoken to by Wendy, and they refresh me like a desert spring! Words of hope and encouragement from the LORD remain:
Jer. 12:5- “If racing against mere men makes you tired,
how will you race against horses?
If you stumble and fall on open ground,
what will you do in the thickets near the Jordan?"
God gives us what we can handle. He gently increases our reserves and then directs us to harder and harder situations, because He has already armed us. We are to put our hope in the LORD and renew our strength, so we can soar on wings of eagles; we can walk and not grow weary, we can run and not be faint. (Isaiah 40:31).
Then there is a message to use as gentiles: Jer. 12:15-16: "But afterward I will return and have compassion on all of them. I will bring them home to their own lands again, each nation to its own possession. And if these nations truly learn the ways of my people, and if they learn to swear by my name, saying, ‘As surely as the Lord lives’ .., then they will be given a place among my people. " If we learn His ways and learn to swear by His name (and call on Him in our distress), we are given a place among His people. He adopts us into His family - Ephesians 1:4-6: For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will— to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
And then a new name of God jumped out at me. "O Hope of Israel, our Savior in times of trouble" Even when things were not going well and Jeremiah was growing weary and weepy, He recognized God was in their midst. He pleaded with Him not to abandon the people.
I want to recognize that God is in my midst even when things are not going well. I want to have spiritual eyes that see, ears that hear and a mind that understands and can obey God when He asks me to step out. I also want to not rely on my own strength but turn to Him for His renewing grace, mercy and peace.
"I have seen you in your sanctuary and beheld your power and glory. Because your love is better than life, my lips will glorify you. I will sing your praises all of my days and in your name I will lift up my hands" (Psalm 63:2-4) AMEN

Hello GIG!..I spent a long, fun wkend with relatives playing board games and shopping and just having a nice time.
The verse that spoke to me today was: Jer 15:19 "If you speak good words rather than worthless ones, you will be my spokesman. You must influence them; do not let them influence you!"
The relatives I stayed with are not believers and inevitably the conversation usually turns to something that relates to God. Well, I feel that I blew it with my words and failed at the above verse...I let them (the unbelievers) influence me. My words were harsh and judgemental and cannot be taken back. Do they want to be a Christian if that is what one looks and sounds like? Ugh. I wish I could hit "rewind"....thank You Lord that there is no condemnation for those who are in You. Help me to try, try, again.

Thank you Wendy! Your lesson showed us how we can truly apply God’s Word in our every day life. May we save much of our wasted energy and go straight to our Father, first. He knows our needs more than anyone else, anyway!
“When I discovered your words, I devoured them, They are my joy and my heart’s delight, for I bear your name, O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies” (Jer. 15:16).
I was drawn to Job 23:12: “I have not departed from the commands of his lips; I have treasured the words of his mouth more than my daily bread.”
Which lead me to Deut. 8:3: “to teach you that man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD.” My NIV notes say, “Bread sustains but does not guarantee life, which is God’s gift to those who trust in and live by his word: his commands, and promises.”
Reading God’s Word, the Bible, is vital food – this is how Christ communicates to us! I remember Donna explaining this so well awhile back with a visual, -I can’t remember exactly what she said, but basically - chewing on it throughout our day. Reading the verses in the morning, and allowing it to sink in. Pondering over it and keeping it close to our heart throughout the day, as the Holy Spirit guide us – according to God’s Will for our day.
Dear Lord, Swell my heart today, to seek You with everything I have. I want a heart that is seeking after God. “He rewards those that earnestly seek Him” (Heb. 11:6).
Ladies, let’s set out, determined,(not wavering) today – to influence those around us, not to allow them to influence us. May our reactions serve to affect those around us that still, do not know the Lord. Lori

I want to devour His Word with that same passion and desire that Jeremiah had. I want them to be my joy and delight as well. I just loved this!!

I had a great wedding phots shoot on Saturday. Thanks so much for the prayers! I will try to put a few out on facebook this week.
I do have a prayer request. As I was leaving the wedding on Sat., I received a call letting me know that two of my good friends had been in car accident. Everyone was fine, but it was a hit and run. I plan on writing about it on my blog this morning...but we still need prayers for healing for my sweet friend Kristi. She should be released from the hospital today. God is so good...after seeing pictures of the car, our minister said that God still has many plans for them here. Had my husband been in the car with them(he was in his truck a few miles ahead), I would be asking for prayers for me. He would not be here. The back seat area was destroyed. Praise Him!Thanks for those prayers!! Y'all have a great day!

Lord this morning i acknowledge you created Loice to cling to you alone, I am to be yours, your pride, your glory, an honour to your name. But father i confess i have messed up badly and have been a poor representation of the kingdom in every way. Father, forgive me and help me start afresh, give me the strength and the tenacity to stand up for you even when it is tough. Its my hearts desire to cling to you Lord. Amen

with so few commenting, I thought it might be computer problems, but not for me.
My Take away to day 13:25, God telling Jeremiah___"this is your allotment, the protion I have assigned to you". BUT O LORD that is not my choosing. Like Job's allotment - not Job's choosing. Like Jennifer Rene`'s - not her choosing. And many others. Yet we want to pray and pray that God will lessen our loads, and praise Him when it is lessened. We pray and God answers our pray to lessen the allotment. God is always with us - with our allotments, but if He lessens it, then are we less than we should be. Oh....this is deeper than I want to go. Or is this where we need to be careful what we pray for. What king from Judah prayed for God not to take him, after God telling him that he would die, and then God let him live 15 (?) more years. Help me FIGs. That was not a good thing. He ended up not being a good king at the end.... (It is just too late in the evening for me to try finding this any more, I will have to wait til I am fresh in the morning.) What great lessons we had this day. Thank you God that I didn't live then. Thank you for your Word so I can read and know who You are and what I am to do to be blessed/happy. And especially leaving your Spirit behind as a deposit (earnest money)that we have your promise of what is to come, eternal life. 2Cor. 5:5 God, that you shine Your light on us so we can find our way.
