Can you believe it is already February? I can not. I also can not believe that I am sending my pre-teen (Did I just say pre-teen?) on her first retreat. Oh my. My guys are having a "man's night out" with dinner and a visit to man's equivalent to Macy's, Bass Pro Shop. I wonder if they will ever make it home.
As for me, well, I will be doing some of my favorite things. Snuggling under a blanket, sitting in my Jesus chair, wearing my bed-pants writing and digging into scripture.
I hope you all get a chance to do some of your favorite things this weekend. I am crazy about our journey together. Oh yea, is anyone thinking about coming to She Speaks this year? Conference registration opened Monday. We already have 75 registered. Last year we closed registration within 7 weeks. Don't know? Follow this link: She Speaks Conference.

Wendy,
I have been quiet and havent posted much, But Again, Thank You for your faithfulness on this study. What a blessing God is giving us with this study and all these wonderful women who are participating. I have learned so much already.

God really knew what He was doing when he gave us the 10 commandments.
We wouldn't need the thousands of laws we have if everyone would just follow them. Everything is covered in those 10 brief, but perfect laws. Number 1 covers them all.
This is my "reserved" weekend with my high school friends. I promise to try and act my age and not my shoe size!! My husband fears we'll get kicked out of the hotel because of laughter noise off the charts!!! Oh well!!
Have a nice weekend everyone...

Wendy, sounds like you're enjoying a lovely time.
I'm so thankful for this bloggy accountability as I post daily sharing what the Lord has spoken to me. Today it was about refuge - Person, Place or Thing.
RE: She Speaks. I was there in 2005 and 2008 and how I long to come back this year. My husband and son were actually planning on driving down with me and we were going to enjoy some extra time in NC visiting the Billy Graham Library and golfing etc...then as we headed back to Canada we were going to stop in Pennsylvania and attend a production at the "Sight and Sound" theatre. However...with the turn in the economy and the uncertainty of my husband's job, I just don't have the freedom to register...yet! :o) I know if attending is part of God's plan, I'll be there. Last year Holly told me they closed the registration right after I registered and my entire trip last year was one God story after another. It took me 3 weeks of posting daily to share all the Lord did as I stepped out in faith and trusted Him.
Love all of you at P31 and pray for you by name and for the ministry. The Lord has used you all greatly to impact my life.
Thanks for all you do,
Joy
Wendy,
Thanks so much for all you are doing to enrich this experience beyond my wildest imagination.
I want to say so much about these readings, yet have to stay somewhat quiet. I just submitted the manuscript of "Coffee with the Savior" to my editor. The study's entire focus is on the life of Moses and how we can also have God as our best friend. As I said, I want to comment more, but I don't want to accidently break any copyrights. :-)
Regarding She Speaks, I have already registered. This will be my third time attending. I dearly love the conference as well as my wonderful roomie, Pinkshoelady. I would dearly love to see you there. I would also love to meet anyone else from these comments.
Blessings on your time this weekend.
Hey there Wendy,
We had a Forever 31 breakfast this morning a Cracker Barrel. We had 8 of us and it was so nice just to relax and enjoy breakfast with the girls.
The I went to help a friend try and get some things straight in her kitchen. I am working on my new cookbook for disability cooking. It was pretty cool we made potato pancakes. That did me in for the day.
It is so beautiful outside today 70 degrees here today. Can't believe it is Feb. Enjoy your Saturday.
Hugs,
Diane
Wendy,
I'll be at She Speaks again this year. I'm bringing either two or three others with me. I can't wait! It will be the first time that the others have attended and I think I am more excited to see how the experience enhances their relationship with the Lord than anything else.
I know how greatly the event always impacts my faith walk, and especially the first time I attended. I spent almost all of the second night face down on the floor of the bathroom praying that night. So much good biblical teaching and praise and worship is humbling and really opens ones heart and changes us from the inside out.
Please give all the P31 team my thanks and love for all the work that goes into making "She Speaks" the one event I will try to attend every year! Also, please let them know that I am praying for them and the event.
Be blessed my sister and enjoy the quiet time this weekend. As for me I'm stripping wallpaper and getting ready to paint.
Just wanted to leave a comment to let you know I visited your site. The design is beautiful and so is the content!
God bless you!
Hey Sis!
Oh my, your baby girl...a preteen! How time flies, and how they grow...a little sad, but yet such a blessing to watch God at work in their lives.
I miss you so much! I'm praying about She Speaks.
I love you!
