Today I wake up that the Hilton in Concord, NC. She Speaks is in its first full day. Saturday is such a full day. Whew--I take a deep sigh just thinking it.
I hope you have been blessed by this week's reading. I posted the week's commentary last weekend so I would not miss a day with with you. It will be wonderful to be back home Sunday with my family and to return to life's regular, non-She Speaks pace.
Thank you for all your prayers for the conference, the P31 family, and for me personally. Even though I am posting this today, July 26, I can confidentially say, God answered your prayers. He is faithful!

oops, I wrote my comments on yesterday's post, so I'm copying them here too!
Blessings to you all on this Saturday Morning!
Today we see the Lord doing what He said He would do. Since Jonah's preaching, the Ninevites choose not to teach their children about God. They returned to their sinful actions. Several generations passed where God was not their focal point. (Ex 34: 7b-"Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished. He punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation."
Truth's we read about today~
GOD IS:
1. slow to anger, & His power is great. 1:3
2. He is a refuge for those who trust Him. 1:7
3. He never lets the guilty go
unpunished. 1:3
Through Nahum, God forewarned Nineveh! 3:1, 7, 19,15,18.
And, in the end, this once mighty city was destroyed; it failed to exist any more. God said it would, and it happened.
The King James Version takes an additional meaning to verse 1:1, and has left me with so much to think about! It states, "The burden of Nineveh. The book of the vision of Nahum the Elkoshite." We don't know much about this man, Nahum, but we do know that He was chosen by God to carry this burden. This is a very strong word with deep meaning! This vision was given to him by God. When I looked up burden, it said: carrying a heavy load, caring for people, emotionally difficult to bear, under great worry, stress, & requiring effort, a difficult duty, carrying the prophecy of a devastating and disastrous event.
I wonder if we are meant to also carry this burden for all the sinners in today's world! I mean to really care about the sinners!
We know God is going to do what He says He will do. We know the end of the world and its destruction will take place. In the meantime my hope is to carry this burden as Nahum did. Maybe to pray more like Jan mentioned as she drives around in her car, or like Carmen mentioned as she walks by people. I hate to say, that it is a rarity that I spend time praying for people that I don't even know. I'm diligent to pray for family, friends, and friends of friends...but for complete strangers! I have lots to think about today. I don't know about you guys, but my heart is pretty heavy right now. Today's reading has pierced right through to my heart.

You are not too far from me right now, Morgen!
Alaska indeed brings you to your knees with the glory & splendor of God's masterpieces at seemingly every turn.
And as a bonus, he gives us extra daylight this time of yesr to dig in and really enjoy it!
It's good to be back on track with all of you. I am officially caught up and abundantly blessed.
It is incredible to me that God knew all along I would be behind - each day the messages were absolutely spot on and on time! I am going to be giving my testimony to my previous church this fall, and this is going to be a Huge section of it!
My good news today:
Look! A messenger is coming over the mountain with good news!
He is bringing you a message of peace! Nahum 1:15
God is good and he is faithful. Eyes trained on him and not our earthly concerns he fills us with his spirit and makes us invincible. His love is forever, and it gives us peace.
Celebrating the glorious news and striving to be a godly messenger,

I've had messages all weekend from gals at P31 and everyone is having such a great time!!! Even saw a beautiful picture of you Wendy, with Holly!!! Can't wait to hear more!!!
Today, God has been speaking to me about 'fear' AGAIN!
“It was a place where people…walked freely and without fear.” Nahum 2:11
Walked freely? Without fear? Really? Where is this place? I’d move there in a heartbeat. Yet, it’s not the location that brings liberty. My fears flow like a blood disease through my veins. They’d unfortunately be going with me. If only a change of address was enough. If only it could be that simple.
This place is a place of trust. It’s believing in my heart what I know in my head. It’s living by faith.
Question: Do I believe God can free me from all fear? You see, we can never live beyond what we believe. I can say I believe God is bigger than my biggest fears, but my actions give me away.
I had a friend share with me yesterday that she sees me living in a box of fear.
I want to respond defensively. I want to qualify and justify my fears. Yet, the reality is, she’s right. Fear dictates my choices and keeps me living so much less than all God created for me. I sit, curled up in a corner, of a dark, cardboard box.
I honestly don’t know what makes the breakthrough. How do I embrace with my heart and begin to live what my head tells me is true?
Will this enemy ever be defeated? The battle is so tiring and too often I wave a white flag of surrender.
I’m not down…I have hope…I’m just thinking out loud and dreaming of living outside the box.
Prayers and hugs to you all,
Joy
Good Morning~ I realized yesterday that we've slipped into another month! Can you believe it? Thinking of all you beautiful sisters spending time this morning rejoicing in the Lord together! Oh, the thought puts goose bumps on my arms! Praying for you all to be filled with God's Spirit, and for save travels home!
I LOVED today's readings, ladies! Habakkuk! Can you believe all of his questions? :) I highlighted them, and was happy to know there was another person out there that liked to ask questions! There is so much to learn from this prophet! He had so many questions, but yet he held on to the truth: "he is the Eternal One!" (3:6)..."I will wait quietly..." (vs.16)..."even though...even though...even though...Yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation!" (16-18)
When we do not see evidence that God is working in our life, we live by faith. We trust in God's faithfulness. Remember, His ways are better-always(!) than our ways! God works every detail in our life for good.
Peace & rest today on this beautiful Sunday!
