Girls, I can't believe it. I have reached the age. The age I thought I thought I would never reach. I have mindlessly watched the commercials for years, never giving a second thought that the content could possibly apply to me. Yesterday, I learned different.
The disturbing news came from my best friend, who after watching the commercial realized that because of her last birthday the message now applied to her,too. She was gracious enough to call me to say that since we were born between the years 1923-1968 we were now eligible for special life insurance that would help pay for our funeral cost. WHAT??????? NOW WAY!!!!!!!!
You have got to know what commercials I am speaking of. I thought those things only applied to "old people." Well, if the commercial fits....
Anyway, just a silly thought for today. Have a great day in the Lord! It will be another hot and humid day here in the Carolinas. Thank Jesus for AC.

I am a 1968 gal too, just celebrated the BIG 4-0 in March. And I love it. 40 is fabulous. I've lost 10 lbs and I am beginning an exciting writing journal with my FIRST ever out of town conference (She Speaks!) While I am nervous I will be home sick for my kids (have never left them!), I am excited about the possibilites.
So don't let 40 get you down! 40 ROCKS!

i would dare say, my friend, that it is an accomplishment to have reached the age when society reaches out to assist you... i mean, at least the commercials that apply to you don't include "diahbeedus" or "my dreams don't include cervical cancer" :) i have found that i belong to the pre-50's and post-80's age groups. try to figure yourself out when that is true :) LOVE YOU~
I knew it was coming.It slowly creeped up on me then...BAM! The big 50!
Since May (my big day) I have settled in my new skin or should I say older skin and have looked at every new wrinkle as God's way of showing His mercy on my life.

I am with all of you! Turned 50 last year and, of course, the AARP mailings inundated the mailbox. As with Zoe, they went into the trash! God is the "wings beneath these 50 year old wings" and they are flying stronger and taking me higher than ever before in my life!

I'm not ashamed to admit that I'm 55 and inspite of the wrinkles and some gray hairs trying to peek out of my colored brown hair,...it does get better.
It's going to be hot here in Utah, hopefully a little cooler in Calif.
