Girls, I just have to say, I love being in the hood, the sisterhood of those who are in Christ. I am smiling from ear to ear just thinking of what an amazingly blessed life I have. Whenever I have a need there is somebody to reach out and touch my life. Whether it is through prayer, (A huge one) offering to help with my kids, sending me surprise packages in the mail, meeting me at the hospital with a cake, an unexpected encouraging email, a rock to slay my giant, asking me to pray for you or a box of assorted chocolates (Dark of course~is there any other kind?) I have someone or many standing in the gap for me.
I just wanted to say thank you. I pray God's richest and fullest blessings on your life. I am blessed because in some way, great or small you have given to my life.
The hood is an awesome place to be, don't you think? How have you been blessed by being in the hood? Tell us about it.

WOW, this is just what I have been thinking about. Sisterhood, how could we live without it? It doesn't matter what you are going through, chances are one of your sisters has been there. Last night I went to our ladies coffeehouse, not knowing which ladies would show up this time. I choose a seat and started to take in the piano music and singing. I looked around the room and mentally made lists of each lady and how we have interacted with each other of the years. It was intresting how most of us have our "go to gals", those who are the first to help. Then I noticed which ones I was the "go to gal" to. It is so cool to take note of how God works amoung our "sisters in the hood". It is the best gang out there. I highly recommend it.
Have a great day Wendy,

Hi Wendy,
Having sisters is a GREAT blessing! I value the people God sends in my life also. On vacation this summer I saw a sign in a gift shop that I keep thinking about. It said, "Don't count your blessings, be one!" I wish I had bought that sign but I think God engraved it in my heart. My car is now packed with lots of blessings'stuff from sisters to bless other sisters that live in what you might call the real 'hood'. I pray they feel God's love and a sister connection! We are blessed to be a blessing!
Have a great day!

:) you know what you really wanted to say :) something about the true "hood" that you get to hear when you are having a "Holy Ghost crazy party" hahaha :) sisterhood is truly a blessing... glad to have my biological and spiritual sister!!! loves~
Hey, Wendy!
Your title really caught my eye! My last name is Hood and boy,do our friends have fun with that:)
I absolulely love being in a sisterhood of believers. I'm right there with you in that they meet your needs with prayers, surprises, perfectly timed phone calls, caseroles, and saying "yes" when you need it the most. It is a powerful tool and also a gift from God. OOooh! I just love that!
Love ya,
Susan
