God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.”
His words fulfilled. Moses meets God again at Sinai. This time He received the law, more than just the ten commandments. After reading the law, aren't we all the more thankful for the blood of Jesus and the extension of grace?
Today's reading gave cubit by cubit plans on how to build the Ark of Covenant or Testimony. Weren't you amazed at the preciseness of our God? He is quite the Designer. He laid out the instructions for the Priestly garments for Aaron and his sons. Wow! What flare. Can you imagine the weight of the ephrod, chestpiece, and headdress? Did you read the inscription on the pure gold medallion: SET APART AS HOLY TO THE LORD. We too, are set apart, a royal priesthood. I Peter 2:9-10:
"But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy."
Does that excite anyone but me? Because of Jesus, our sins our atoned. There is still a mercy seat and He is sitting on it now. I am so excited I could SHOUT!!! The curtain that we read about, the one that separated the Holy of Holies that represented the Lord's presence, was torn when Jesus declared, "It is finished!" It was only the beginning for us. We have full access to the Holy of Holies 24/7.
Hallelujah! What a way to start the week! Celebrate the Mercy Seat.

Today the Lord spoke to me through Exodus 25:2, "Accept the contributions from all whose hearts are moved to offer them." That verse reminded me of 2 Cor. 9:7, where God calls us to give cheerfully, not out of compulsion. It's a giving in response to a heart's stirring, not with clenched fists or reluctantly.
God's heart was moved by pure love to give the greatest Gift ever given. His heart was aroused with compassion for a lost and dying world. No closed hands, His arms were stretched open, as He freely surrendered His life for our salvation. Does that alone not move your heart to give all that you have, all that you are and all that you'll ever be to Him? May He stir in all our hearts today, and every day, to respond to His prompting and give freely, because freely we have received.

The LORD showed Moses everthing he needed to know to build the Tabernacle. He will show us everything we need to know if we will just listen for his whispers.26:36 - The one entrance to the sacred tent where a sinful man could approach reminds me of John 10:9, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture."
In His presence we find safety and comfort. Help me seek You today dear Lord in everything I do.

God instructed everything to be made glorious and beautiful! We are apart of his design as well.
I rejoice because like Aaron and his sons the Lord has clothed us with his righteousness, anointed us with fresh oil and ordained us for such a time as this. Ex. 28:40
Thank God we are now apart of that royal family that has complete access to the presence of God.
I praise God for living in this time of history!

Just a thought to ponder. . .
. . . did anyone else note that at the end of verse 9 God says, "You must build this Tabernacle and its furnishings exactly according to the pattern I will show you." And, then in verse 40 God again said to Moses, "Be sure to make everything according to the pattern I have shown you. . ."
Did anyone else connect that to the fact that the church today should still be built on the foundation that God showed us through His Son, Jesus?
I once read that if you see something occur more than once in "red letters" in the Bible, the context is important and one should pay extra attention to those things that have been repeated. This made me wonder, am I; since I am in effect God's church, building my life according to the pattern that God so graciously showed to me in the living pattern of Jesus?
Oh my sisters, talk about humbling! Looks like I have some building to do, so I'm off to get some prayer time in. I know I'm gonna need some heavenly intervention.
I absolutely loved Set apart as holy...and I also love that I wear the same seal. Exciting, indeed!
