Tonight, Friday, I went to a reunion with my youth group from Hickory Baptist Church. What a great time! Ronnie Deal, our youth pastor and his wife Rae were the guests of honor. It is always good to rekindle relationships and share old times. We had some amazing times growing up at Hickory Baptist Church. I thank God for my great heritage.
Ya'll, have some disturbing news to share today. The results of baby Gabriel's third test were not as we had hoped. The tests show some spots on a lymph node on his neck (the opposite side where the tumor was removed) as well as on his liver. They will biopsy these areas very soon. The same God we praised yesterday for the good results is the same God we pray to today for a miracle. Will you join me in prayer?

Abba, Father, it is with heavy hearts that we come to you again on behalf of baby Gabriel. We thank you and praise you for the gift of life. We know you are the Alpha and the Omega. Our beginning and our end. It is the living in-between that is challenging. We humbly ask that you completely heal Gabriel. That wherever those cancer cells are, please obliterate them, LORD. YOU alone hold that power. Please have mercy on Gabriel and his parents. Please give them peace. Please give wisdom to the doctors so they would know the next course of treatment. Please be with Gabriel as he undergoes the biopsy. Please surround his little body with angels to minister to him. Let him not be afraid, Lord. Thank you, Father. In Jesus' wonderful name, we pray. Amen.
Praying right along with Grace and Peace .... I was just telling my mom about Gabriel. We'll be praying.
Wendy, I know we are all joining together to pray for baby Gabriel and God will hear our prayers.
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come to you right now asking for another miracle for baby Gabriel. Be with the doctors who do the biopsy on the spots on the lymph node on his neck as well as on his liver. I pray that the tests will come back negative. Lord, I ask you to continue to give Gabriel's parents and other family members peace as they go through this new test. We know you are able to do all things and there is nothing too hard for you. Continue covering baby Gabriel with your love and encamp angels around him and his family.

Grace and Peace and Amy, where two or three are gathered together in Jesus' name he'll be in the midst. Did you look at the times we three commented. God is with us in the midst of all our prayers. I believe God wil do a miracle!!!

O Lord God, Our Great and Mighty Physician, we ask you today to perform a miracle in little Gabriel. We ask you to heal him completely. we ask you to wrap your healing hands over his entire body and bring him back to wholeness. And we pray this in the powerful name of Jesus.
Lord, we pray for healing mercies for baby Gabriel, courage and faith for his family, and wisdom and insight for his medical team. I have seen you perform miracles in the life of my sister Denise. Please send a miracle for baby Gabriel to heal him from cancer. We praise you for all you have done so far for Gabriel, and we praise you for being with him every step of the way through this dark time. Thy will be done. Amen.

Humbly, our beautiful patchwork quilt of believers unites together to request a favor of you, dear Father. We know you hear our prayers and we boldly seek you to heal baby Gabriel. There is only one Physician that can do miracles, and that is You, dear Lord. You are the Guardian of this helpless child’s soul. Jehova-rapha, (The LORD who heals) today, we join together to ask you to open the minds of the doctors, grant them the no-how, to know where to precede, place encouraging nurses with extra loving care to surround this child of yours. And, lastly be the parents, Shepherd; give them strength in their weakness to turn to you for guidance. May Your perfect will be done, may Your glory shine. Lord I pray today with my sisters for this baby Gabriel who is yours Lord and needs your healing hands. Grant the doctors peace and guide their hands through the procedures that need to be done. And Lord, not my will, but Yours, be done as You see fit. Grant the parents peace and the family grace while this time of darkness is upon them. In Your healing name I pray, Amen.

I had a first grader whose leukemia
returned. After extensive treatments and 3 years later, she is still in remission. Her mom uses this as a witness for our Lord's glory.(The girl has been saved, too.) Praise to our Lord Jesus!
In 2 Samuel 7:21, David says,"Because of your promise and according to your will, you have done all these great things and have made them known to your servants."
What a verse for such a time as this!

O My Lord,
We sisters in Christ have been together throughout this day ina united belief that sweet little Gabriel and his family are in Your Hands. We believe and we know that Your Word tells us that You are a God of Miracles. We give You all the praise and glory for that fact. Now, Lord, we are depending on Your Grace and Mercy in performing yet still the Miracle that You would have for Gabriel. You have prepared his little body for a time such as this when You created him. You have given his doctors and surgeons the experience and knowledge for a time such as this. You, alone, are Worthy for the praise in the healing of this little fella. We, GIG, come together and give you the glory for what you are going to do for Gabriel in the next week. We come before You expecting great things for You are a Great and Mighty God.
May You be a shield around Gabriel's parents and sister and family; may You bestow glory on them and be the lifter of their heads so that they will be looking into Your Face as You hold their face in Your Precious Hands and give them strength and hope. Reassure them that there is healing in Your Hands.
Thank You, Father, that we have been given this responsibility to pray earnestly and sincerely for this child of Yours.

GIG, I had placed Gabriel on our prayer list at church last week. We have prayed for 3 little babies
with life threatening illnesses--one at his birth--and God has graciously healed them. There is power in prayer of 2-3 (hundred or thousand) :)

Lord I pray that you surround Gabriel and his family with your love and strength. I pray they can find peace in knowing you are the Ultimate Physician and you will carry them through this storm. I pray you help them stay strong in faith and you will fill their hearts full of hope. When I awoke this morning this song was in my head. (The link is at the end of my post. I hope it works.) The song is "Still I Will Trust You, Lord." I have prayed all your beautiful prayers for Gabriel, and will continue to do so. I also want to share a story of hope. At the beginning of last year one of my third grade students was diagnosed with brain cancer. Extensive treatments followed throughout the year. Right now this wonderful boy is finishing up fourth grade, and his latest MRI was totally clear of cancer. Praising our Lord for this miracle. And please, heavenly Father, if it is your will, bring a miracle for Gabriel. Show us your mercy and your power. You are almighty, you are sovereign, you alone are the Most High. We bring you our humble request for healing for Gabriel. We trust you, Lord. Amen.

Dear God,
As someone mentioned, we are a patchwork quilt of believers. We celebrate our differences in ages and geography and celebrate our coming together in cyberspace.
I would ask that you wrap this wonderful quilt around Gabriel and his family, just as when You came to earth and were wrapped in swaddling clothes and were laid in a manager.
This quilt has been sewn across many miles and oceans by believing and caring hands. Please use it as you see fit - for the honor and glory is yours forever. Amen

Ladies I am just now reading through the prayers. I join your voices in lifting up this precious baby and everything our group is going through.
Today's reading was so good and I loved the commentaries about the forshadowing of Christ and us at His table.
BTW Beth Moore's simulcast was amazing yesterday! They announced there was over 300,000 of us watching! The largest simulcast she had ever done. I felt different today, worthy of who I really am in Jesus more so than I did at the beginning of the weekend. Beth said that INSECURITY is UNBELIEF. It is sin, it is not believing God in who He says we are. May we not live in unbelief but walk in strength and dignity and be the women He created us to be!

The LORD is worthy to be praised. Have felt the Spirit move as I read through the prayers. Lord I join in agreement with the sisters for Baby Gabriel and his family. That your hand of healing and peace will continue to be over them, giving the drs. wisdom as they deal with his case. May they feel you every moment, every hour, every day knowing You are watching over them, You love them, they are your chldren. In Christ's powerful name...the Name above ALL names....Amen.
Sad that I missed the Beth Moore simulcast...participated in the blog study. My husband ran a marathon on Saturday for the first time and it was important that I be there to cheer him on.
